It’s definitely a slow burn but I knew that going into it. MZ is the slow burn queen. I loved seeing them fall in love. You can see how he is showing his love for her even though he doesn’t say it. He shows it in the things he does. My only complaint is that I wish we got to see more of them as a couple after they had gotten together.

it was good but it wasn’t as amazingly great as i’d hoped it’d be. there’s the line with these “grumpy” characters that sometimes authors cross, for me personally, where they just cross into straight up emo. it happened with Aaron in The Spanish Love Deception, they just like build them as these asshole characters but then all the sudden they’re smiling and shit OR they just have no emotion at all and the authors just TRY to make them seem like the main FMC is the “only person who can make them happy”. i’m sure Aiden liked her before hand and like this one was better than TSLD but, he suddenly decides he cares where she goes but he’s still grumpy and whatever THEN he’s suddenly like laughing at jokes and whatever like, where did that come from? i think i need dual POVs for grumpy sunshine to work for me honestly. there hasn’t been any that i absolutely love. idk i just couldn’t warm up to Aiden but it was nice enough.

Lowkey I felt like I was reading a fanfic but in a good way. I didn’t always love Vanessa (her fashion choices and inner monologues got on my nerves a few times) (but definitely her fashion choices) but I loved Aiden. Total sucker for dark and brooding - sue me. Also I thought it was funny to be “NFO” and “Dallas Three Hundreds”. I’d read this again!!
