Talulla & Pierre friendship was dope. I liked Talulla but she really did irritate the hell outta me cause girl you see this man adore the shit outta you. Let him love you. I get that she been hurt by people that was suppose to love her but Pierre was always there in her corner & never left her side. I didn't like the way she treated him like she was putting him in the same category of the others & Pierre would never. He was top tier. At times I get pissed off with Pierre cause I felt like he was tryna force it & just being a damn fool for Tally. He was pretty persistent. Tally did love Pierre & always have but she's scared of getting hurt. She really did need to heal cause what she was doing was unhealthy. The spicy scenes had me really rooting for them because you can literally see the love & passion between the 2 of them. The different emotions this book put me through was exhausting lol. Definitely a good read that I recommend.

A solid 3.5 for me!

This was a good read but I feel like it actually NEEDED to be longer. The authors note said Tally would work your nerves and the TWs explain she is actively healing but I don’t feel like I got enough explanation as to why. I understand the abandonment issues with her mom but it has some holes. How did we go from doting mom taking our kid to the library every week, to disappearing, to sending this weird letter years later? Also HOW did this thing with Lucas happen? If it’s such a major part of her trauma and rules, why didn’t we hear more about it.

I loved Pierre! He was solid from the beginning. I love how he took care of Tally, even how he cared for Celeste and his family. He just seemed like such a nice and humble man. Like a for real grown man, the kind we should marry in real life! I appreciate that he was willing to love Tally through her trauma and his patience is unmatched. Even when he lost his patience a time or two he still came through!

Overall this was a good quick read but I definitely think it needed more background details throughout.

At the beginning I was really enjoying the book however about 40ish percent I was starting to lose interest. To Me Tally is not a likeable character. I didn't like how she treated Pierre and I didn't like how Pierre allowed it.

Talullah drove me up the wall sometimes. Half the time I was thinking maybe she needs to try talk therapy.

Pierre, I don’t know how he did it but that man was patient.

I’m giving this book 3.8⭐️, but rounding it up to 4.

Tallulah is a great reminder that healing is not linear. It takes time, commitment, honesty, and bravery to face your demons. But, it is so necessary to do the work, or you will miss the gifts that are right in front of you.
Whew Chile, the roller coaster of Pierre’s emotions when it came to this girl! Pierre was a little too sprung for my liking. The amount of times I wanted to say “baby, stand UP!” The libra in me desperately wanted her to just be honest and vulnerable so much sooner to balance the scales, but isn’t that tension what makes a good book?

Pierre is pure gold!

I absolutely can’t get enough of Pierre and his unwavering determination to love Talulla out loud! Despite her apprehension and fight against her true feelings, he vowed to love her until she believed it. Until she believed she was worthy of it! I love Pierre real bad!

I love a good friends to lovers trope

This had just enough spice and just enough drama to keep me enthralled. I enjoyed the evolution of Tally and how she overcame heartbreak to find love. I enjoyed the patience of Pierre as well. He’s what every woman deserves.
