Based on other reviews....I'm going to guess others didn't know this was a retelling. The ending shouldn't have been that much of a shock factor. There's also little easter eggs throughout all three books that elude to which retelling this series is about. Or sneak peek the "About The Author" section at the back of one of her books.

"She's the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing before I close my eyes every night."

We finally have the ending to their journey.... and what a journey it has been. Fractured was a crazy emotional roller coaster that will attempt to squeeze out any lingering tears. Like any good story, it has to come to an end I wasn't ready to let them go.

Fractured will answer all the lingering questions and you'll get the closure you've been waiting for. After the first two books, I promise she won't leave you with another cliffhanger. We get to watch one of the characters go through the most growth out of anyone in the series. The ups, the downs, more heartache and happy tears; just so many emotions squeezed into one series. R. Phillips is an amazing story teller and I'm shocked that these were her first books. I'm excited to dive into the spin-off!

"Any girl that came before ceased to exist to me the moment I met you because I knew I'd finally found what had always been missing."

This one took me a little bit to get through. I think I was so angry about Jace and his story that I spent most of the pages sad about him. I wanted more for Jace and will always want more for Jace.
The action/suspense was perfection. I am surprised to say that my favorite story line wasn’t really with coop or jace but instead ALEC. Alec and El’s storyline of family and growth was so fun. I also appreciated how much El came to her own here. This series was a wild ride. Thank you to the amazing author for this-much love ❤️

Well... that took a turn... The saga continues in this third book of the A Twisted Tale series. El has made her choice, but things won't be easy.
I found that the ending was a bit anticlimactic and I did not like the turn that it took in the last like 10%. And although I did read this series fairly quickly and liked most of it, I did think the trilogy could have been just one book.

“What is a life?…a single moment of entanglement, forever binding the invisible matter of souls, until you’re so much a part of each other that there’s no chance of ever being the same. Even if you’re fathomless miles apart. Even if one’s gone while the other lingers. Even if the very love you hold is the thing that breaks you eternally.”

Speechless. Absolutely speechless is the only thing that comes to mind when I think of this trilogy. How can I possibly put into words the love for this story? These characters? I really can’t, but I’m going to try though because it deserves all the praise in the world.

Fractured is the third and final book in A Twisted Tale trilogy, which is a modern day retelling of Helen of Troy and will quite literally fracture your heart but at the same time, heal and put it back together again.

Starting right where Bound left off (which was one hell of a cliffhanger btw) El is faced with some pretty tough decisions. In order to make  those decisions she’s has to do some immense growing. We see El become even more of a bad a** queen.

“Because for the first time in a long time… there are no stars or sun, neither side of my heart to accompany me on this journey. I’m barren, broken, and utterly alone. Nothing to light up my universe. Nothing but the empty sky of me.”
“How and I supposed to be happy with him, without you here to?”

The writing is PHENOMENAL! I can see why people have compared these books to the Ravenhood series because just like Kate Stewart, Rachael’s way of storytelling surpasses any other authors I’ve read. I was completely and utterly captivated by these books and characters. El, Jace (“Hey Blondie.” 🥺), and Coop (“Hey Princess.” 🫶🏻❤️) will forever have my heart. The side characters were even amazing as well - Alec & Mac specifically.

I laughed at the banter. Man, was the banter good! When El kept referring to Coop as Satan I laughed out loud every time. I cried at the sad parts (chapters 27 specifically 💔😭. Have tissues ready. Lots and lots of tissues.). I smiled at the happy moments, the “aww” moments. The moments that made me believe in love, which was pretty much the whole damn book if I’m being honest. I highlighted nearly the whole thing. I felt every. single. thing. and that’s how you know the book is unforgettable.

I’m not telling you to read this book, but I’m telling you TO READ THIS BOOK. You will not be disappointed.

Fractured by @rphillipswrites. I am writing this through my tears. Coming straight off that cliff hanger in book 2 and into the insanity of this book had me holding on for dear life not knowing who was going to come away from this with their lives.

This is the final book in the Twisted Tale series. As I mentioned, it picks up right where the last left off. El will have to team up with an unlikely source to untangle the web of danger that is crossed all around her. Two lives hang in the balance and only she can save them from herself.

@rphillipswrites had some of the best writing I’ve read. And all of these books leave you reeling from the consequences of each characters actions. I was on the edge of my seat, in tears, gasping around every corner. I wanted some relief for one moment and she never gave me any… until the end

WTF WAS THIS

“I think there’s a reason why we keep coming back to someone, good or bad. They get too deep, all tangled up in our cells until… it’s just them. Always them.”
Phillips, R. Fractured (A Twisted Tale Book 3) (p. 203). R. Phillips. Kindle Edition.

The whole end just makes your heart hurt. The ending of this series had some moments you expected, some you did not, and everything in between. It was a perfect ending to a marvelous series.

There was one pretty big twist that happens towards the beginning that I was not expecting and I love when an author can keep me guessing consistently throughout a series.

The end of “our trio” was one I suspected, however R.Phillips wrapped it all up so perfectly and still threw some heart-stopping moments even when you thought you were in the clear. Overall, such a wonderfully crafted series and I loved every moment.

I am honestly speechless as I write this review.

I’ll start by saying that the first and last 10% will have your heart beating fast and your anxiety running at an all time high. I felt so many emotions reading this book.

I can’t speak on what all happens due to spoilers.

What I can say is this…
It was a well fought after ending
I feel at peace
These characters will forever live in my heart
It was beautiful and inspiring

I am honored to be on R Phillips team. To have the opportunity to read this work of art is such a privilege.

This series will forever be one I think about and cherish.
