Listen I don’t even know. This is really not for everyone and I even had to skim read a part because that was a little to much for me, but other than that this was good. I thought the dynamic was interesting and not something I usually read. The stalker didn’t happen until like the second half of the book which I wasn’t expecting. Honestly if you don’t read dark romance do not read this and if you want to venture into dark romance don’t start with this. The list of content warnings at the beginning gagged me because spider play. I just reread the content warnings and I must of skipped past the warning of what I skim read( but it’s because that was her “dad”). The writing also wasn’t the greatest either.

Malachi, the epitome of darkness and allure, swept me off my feet from the very first page. 😈 His enigmatic presence had me falling deeper with every turn of the page. Who could resist a man as complex as a Rubik's Cube and as dark as midnight? #TeamMalachi forever, no doubts about it! 🥰

This book is my ultimate guilty pleasure, I devoured every sinful page, unable to tear myself away. It's like indulging in the most deliciously depraved slice of pizza, a dark romance that ensnared my soul and refused to let go. The push and pull between Olivia and Malachi kept me on the edge of my seat, craving more with every twist and turn!

🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️

The constant battle between desire and morality was utterly captivating. Despite being adoptive siblings, the primal pull between them was undeniable. And when Malachi's dark deeds land him in prison, only to return and claim Olivia as his own, the stakes soar to new heights.

Tropes:
Dark adoptive brother MMC
Forbidden romance
Selective mute
Possessive and obsessive behavior

Kinks/Triggers:
Somnophilia
Taboo romance
Bl00d play
Kn!fe play
Spider play

This is hands down my favorite adoptive brother romance. Malachi and Olivia's love is eternal, and I couldn't care less about anyone else's opinion. If you're craving a dark and spicy read that will leave you questioning everything, dive into this twisted tale! 🖤

You see how good we are together, Olivia? We could've had the world, and you had to ruin it. I was going to give you everything you ever wanted. Now I need to take. I nearly have all of you.
I have your mind.
T have your body.
T have your soul. The fear I instill in you. The pain I inflict when you defy me.
You have a black heart, little sister, but I'll own that soon too.

Tropes: Stalking; taboo: step siblings(not blood related; both adopted); OTT & obsessive MMC and mask & chase play

This may not suite to certain readers so read TW b4.

Malachi and Olivia, both foster siblings, shared a bond that rose above simple family ties; forbidden. But it didn’t stop them.
Malachi considered himself to be Olivia's protector, profoundly has a huge possessiveness and connection with her.
When a situation took steps to seperate them.
Years later, Malachi stalks her and keeps her nearby; as in killing any men who she touches.  The betrayal he feels is still boiling as he not only stalks her but fulfills her darkest fantasy by also satisfying his own taboo lust.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a dark romance to this extent. Please read the TW! I did enjoyed it. It was crazy and to keep in mind that some things are meant to stay in books.
There are some ow drama(for thoses who don’t like that.)
And MMC communicates with sign languages; Rep. and a somewhat sub: He's waiting for instructions, the clueless look in his eyes making me giddy -Malachi Vize, innocent only for me, on his knees for his sister, looking like I own him.

Not so innocent as he acts:
Malachi: Since you're teaching me everything else, will you teach me how to say your name? I might fuck the pronunciation up a few times, but I want to know how to say it.

PSA; it wasn’t as dark as I expected based on others reviews.
PSA2; I still do not like their parents especially their mom for selling her daughter’s virginity.
PSA3: Malachi is a sociopath: Go kiss your future husband, little sister. And when you do, you better think about me and all the ways I'll fuck you in his blood.

This book is not for newbies of the Dark Romance genre. I have read quite a few dark romances and this one is definitely dark. I have tried to include a list of content warnings, however it is not exhaustive as there is content in the book that is not available from the provided options.

If you choose to read this, READ THE CONTENT WARNINGS.

On to my actual review-
This book is wildly insane. I have learned many new things about myself whilst reading it. It is not for the feint of heart. There is fake brother/sister relations (both adopted separately) and lots of inappropriate touching between raised siblings.

That being said, I really did enjoy reading this twisted little book.

"run, little stranger"

This book was an absolute rollercoaster. It's one of the more disturbing stories I've read.

Putting aside the brother-sister thing (I know they're not actually related), they both have absolutely no character. Malachis' whole personality is that he has an ASPD diagnosis. He's the "dark and mysterious" mute that wears black, has shaggy hair & probably wears too much eyeliner. Don't even get me started on Olivia. She has even less personality than her "brother." She does anything and everything that anyone tells her to do, especially her parents. She goes through four (maybe five) betrothals throughout the whole thing (including going along with her mother selling her virginity.) she makes me want to rip my hair out.

I'll gloss over the fact that they fucked raw-dog on top of their fathers beeding out body and then at the end her father (for some unknown and unwritten reason) completely flipped his script and was okay with his daughter running away from her wedding with her brother.

“Go,” Dad says, kissing my cheek. “We’ll deal with them. Be happy, angel."

Like WHAT THE FUCK?!

That ending was absolutely horrible. It felt rushed, like they were tired of writing and wanted to wrap it up.

OBSESSED...

I f'kin inhaled this book. Leigh pushed the limits of dark + taboo with this novella. It is deranged and twisted. Nothing about what happened in this book is okay. But it was also beautiful and raw and had me bawling like a child by the end of it.

This is not feel good or cozy. It's heavy smut with taboo kinks and fetishes. If you're one of those people that like to skip trigger warnings...Don't. Do not set yourself back years of growth + recovery because you wanted to f'ck around + find out.  If you've read the synopsis, trigger warnings, took time to reflect and think you can handle it then buckle up and get ready for the darkest ride of your life. Malachi is THAT psycho.
