Was okay but not as good as the others so far in the series. I loved the first part and the wedding scene but after that it felt like it was obvious and just dragged out. I enjoyed it and love the characters in the series but wasn’t as hyped up during it as the others so 3 stars.
4.5⭐️ wish we could do half stars here.
Anyway.
Finally they get together! After almost 20 years of beating around the bush Jasper finally admits to himself he is in love with her and always has been.
Must say her dad and ex are C**TS! They should just disappear

i think this book had so much potential..
after reading 'heartless' this series seems like a rollercoaster.
it starts well, then goes a lot better, then there's a huge downfall.
will the next book be better again?
what didn't convince me about this book is the huge amount of spicy scenes.
ok, I understand that sloane has never had a choice in her life but four, f.o.u.r. spicy chapters in a row are way too much for me to handle.
I LOVED how they've always been there for each other, that they filled each other's void and that they were trying to overcome things together.
I really liked how jasper respected sloane, treating her right, even if she was used to being manipulated and was willing to be submissive just to be with him, helping him fight his insecurities and traumas.
here are some quotes I really liked.
«Did you just—»
«Kick his fucking chair over? Yes. Because you might be okay with him talking to your daughter that way, but I am not. Must have learned better manners in the trailer park.»
