I liked the stories themselves but it definitely wasn't a cohesive novel. better to be labeled a collection of stories
Amo esta serie detectivesca y sobre todo amo los personajes de Tommy y Tuppence por lo que estas aventuras me parecieron gloriosas
Although I can see what has tried to be done with this collection, I didn't enjoy it as much as the full length novels. I am not familiar with the majority of the detectives parodied so I didn't get the references. I'm looking forward to reading more Tommy and Tuppence though.

This was a very average collection of
short stories. I do love Tommmy & Tuppence
as characters though. The stand outs for me
were A Pot of Tea, the Red House
& The Ambassador's boots.

Such good banter between Tommy and Tuppence in this book!! So it's full of short stories of their time operating a private detective agency, with length ranging from 5-20 pages per story. Surprisingly, each story didn't feel rushed, even the shorter ones. I did miss the camaraderie that could be had between the detectives and their clients, as seen with Julius in The Secret Adversary, but the short stories were a fun way to mix it up. Also nice that Tommy AND Tuppence took turns at being the detective, but sad that they each didn't get to shine in a single story it seemed. They adopt a persona of a particular famous literary detective for each case. It's really cute, but I wish I recognized more of the characters; would have made it more enjoyable.
In the end, there were some things I didn't like, but T & T are so great together that I can't help but smile when I read scenes with them together.

Fun little conceit in which our intrepid couple take on cases similar to other famous sleuths, the last of course being Hercule Poirot!
