I absolutely love this series. This is the book I was looking forward to the most because I wanted to see all the tension unfold. It was amazing and I love Ben and Lizzy.

Deep is the final story in the Stage Dive series and I must admit that I’m pretty sad to see them go. They’ve been my go-to in 2017 for funny, sexy reads in the world of rock. I think Mal the drummer is right up there in my list of totally awesome fictional heroes. While we get some hilarious one liners from Mal in Deep, this is Ben the man mountain/bass player’s story. He’s always been the quiet one in the band – pretty chill, focused on his music and not much else. While the other band members are very Serious Business™ about their music, Ben appears to go with the flow.

Or so we thought. Since Lizzy Rollins, little sister to Anne (Mal’s other half) set eyes on Ben, she’s had a thing for him. She does her best to get Ben interested and succeeds…in Vegas, on her sister’s wedding night. But now Lizzy is pregnant. She knows Ben is all about the music and nothing else, so there’s no hope of a happy baby family. She will do this alone. But Ben won’t take no for an answer. He’ll support her financially and he will look after her…by taking her on Stage Dive’s American tour. Yes, he’s freaked out and will try to deal best he can…by partying and drinking. Lizzy’s hormones are rife and she will say what she thinks, but she will defend Ben no matter what.

In some respects Deep is a little quieter and more mature than the other books in the series. We’re dealing with more serious issues here and the hero is also a quiet guy. It seems fitting that the final book in the series shows a growing maturity for the Stage Dive boys. It’s time to put the fights and drinking on the backburner and look after the whole family. That’s not to say that things don’t get wild though. Even Mal goes over the top in spectacular fashion in one particular scene which through Lizzy’s eyes is painful to watch. It’s a struggle, but they will make it.

Don’t think that this novel is entirely serious though. Lizzy’s not having a dream pregnancy and one of the consequences is a lack of verbal filter. So she says exactly what she thinks whether it’s the benefits of a beard or giving an unwelcome intruder her comeuppance. It’s funny and ultimately ends in sweet times for Lizzy and Ben. I grew to really like both of their characters as they complement each other so well. Lizzy verbalises what Ben is trying to say and gives him courage to explore and say what he really wants. Ben is also a good foil to Lizzy’s raging hormone-driven emotions. The dialogue is cracking and the romance hot-sweet.

I see that there is a novella in the Stage Dive series planned for 2018 (Sam and Martha), which should be super sizzling given Martha’s unwelcome appearance in Deep! Definitely one to keep an eye out for.

Too much drama. I was waiting for Ben's book and it's a baby mama drama book? Yuck.

Libby audio. Love this series. Worst of all 4 though.

Love the series. Was a tad disappointed in Ben's story, but still enjoyed it.

Ok this did not disappoint. I love the headvoices created by this author on this series. Tho i had skipped lena and jim's story as of now, i just knew that Vaughan has a series too. So i guess, there goes my next read

I cried at the confession. Really maybe it is just my stupid hormones too, but honestly, took u frigging long enough Ben.
