Loved it! This series is so entertaining and has so many LOL moments! Kylie could write toilet paper instructions and it would capture my attention! My new favorite author. Read this series...you won't regret it.
I really enjoyed this story. I wouldn't say it was especially unpredictable, but the plot was solid and captivating, and the characters were amusing and real.
This book finally let us in on Lizzy and Ben's relationship. They met back in the second book, through Liz's sister, Anne dating Mal. Ben is the huge, bass player, who is living his dream and doesn't want a girlfriend, or anything that will take away from his great life-style. Lizzy is the young woman who has worked her butt of to get to college and finds herself captivated by the good looking musician. Despite Mal and Anne's attempts to come between the two, they are still drawn to one another. Liz is going slowly in her attempts to get a relationship so as not to scare Ben off. However, Ben is taken with Lizzy and can't help but keep texting her despite not believing it will ever go any where. Their mixed signals finally wreak havoc when they find themselves in Vegas for a wedding and end up sleeping with one another. However, when Liz realizes it's not the start of the romance she hoped, she kicks Ben out and spends the next two months avoiding him, even though he runs in the same social circle as her. Yet, it isn't too difficult since she can't seem to get over her nausea for a few months. So she finally discovers that she's preggers and her life just took a very complicated turn.
That's pretty much where the prologue puts the story and then chapter one does some back peddling to fully expand on everything that has happened between them in the past. But it (thankfully) doesn't take too long to catch back up to the big reveal at a band/family dinner where it is revealed that she is indeed with child, and surprise the father is in this room. It's all very dramatic and great for me, since I love that sort of drama in a book. It sets the characters off on a tumultuous ride of struggling to handle feelings for one another and doing what is best for their progeny.
I thought everything was really entertaining and not too over the top for this plot. As a fan of the series, it provided me with more glimpses into all the other characters' lives that I've already read about previously.
My one wish for the story was that it would've continued on just a little bit further in time. I understand why it ended where it did, and it fit for good pacing, but I felt the plot was largely driven by Ben's fear of commitment. He was so scared to lose the lifestyle he loved for something he never even contemplated wanting or having. It is one thing to think you're over your issues and quite another to actual follow through and be over them. It's in part why you can't just say you're done drinking alcohol if you have an alcohol problem. Follow through is always important, and it was a shame I didn't get to see it in this story.
At the end of this book, it seemed like there was a set up for a new story. I'll have to keep my eye out if a book between Martha and Sam pops up. I don't particularly care one way or another for either character, but I like Kylie Scott's writing. So at the very least I'll be looking out for any more contemporary romance novels.

Spoiler
He eventually comes to terms with his feelings and commits to Liz and their future together, but his actions were never really backed up, because the story ended with his declaration. It felt akin to those stories who have the main character get pregnant at the end and the couple magically have everything worked out. The lack of follow through seen was borderline dysfunctional. At the end of this book, it seemed like there was a set up for a new story.
Spoiler
As Liz is delivering her baby, Martha, Ben's sister, sacrifices herself to be a human punching bag to get Anne and Ben a break from all the verbal abuse. During all the taunting, Liz lets out that Martha is too self obsessed to see that Sam, the security guy, is in love with her. There were other hints at the romance there throughout the book as well.

Out of the entire series I think this is my least favorite. Probably because I was not impressed with Ben at all. He's been in the background for most of the other books and then he's not thinking beyond himself. I struggled. Also kinda abrupt ending.

Not as good as previous books but good enough to make this one of my favourite series.

I finally get my hand on Deep. I remember this series fondly. I think Stage Dive is the series I fall in love with Miss Scott humor. In Deep her signature is there. The humor, the banter makes the story alive.
However, i found a set back on the story. Which is boring. From Miss Scott I am expecting more. More plot/ more drama. Ben is sweet guy. Too sweet. Wishing for some naughty/ dark side from him.
Overall this is still a good read.
