What a weird book! It was all over the place and so many of the scenes throughout had almost no significance. I was pretty disappointed. The ending was very wild, however!
dark mysterious tense slow-paced

Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: Yes

Kiersten Modglin is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine! This book was fantastic. All I’m going to say is be careful who you accept help from… even if you know them. 9/10!

Another winning psychological thriller from this author. When a couple’s marriage falls apart, the husband ends up moving in with a former acquaintance from school who offers him a room. The acquaintance immediately starts ingratiating himself into his life, putting the man’s job and family into jeopardy. Things quickly go from bad to worse. Although the characters are not likeable, they are realistic and drive the story. The plot moves fast with enough twists and turns to make it interesting. 4/5 stars.

The worst book I've ever read. The plot was so predictable and obvious. And "the plot twist " you can see it a mile away.

villain was predictable

I enjoy stories where married people who are struggling try to fight their way back to their love. But I knew early into the story who the villain was. I am thankful that the author didn’t try to throw in all these extraneous people and plot twists. I actually liked the couple and was rooting for them to solve their dilemma.
I look forward to the group read because discussions always enhances my appreciation of the story.

Fast-paced, twisty, and creepy!
Wes has been staying at a motel while him and his wife are working through some issues. When Wes bumps into an old high school acquaintance who later offers him to stay at his place, you just know that something’s about to go wrong. Wes’ roommate starts acting super weird and you can feel the awkwardness. Elias starts to grow obsessed with Wes and wants to be his best friend.

This book screams obsession, stalker and psycho. I loved the twists in the end - Brody
