I received an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. Review can be found on *Milky Way of Books*

I was hesitant to read this book. You may think that it's crazy tolet a book by Jennifer Armentrout slip from my hands but, to be honest I never was a fan of thrillers. Especially "It" by Stephen King. So, despite being afraid, I really enjoyed this book.
There's enough mystery to last a lifetime and a very haunting setting. Ella and Jensen both tried to find out who was behind everything, but it was Ella, who got the most character growing in this book.

There is a clown involved, which was very creepy and I never, EVER want to see a clown mask again. Despite everything, the book was a solid five-stars for me, but I would be terrified if Jennifer Armentrout ever decided to turn into thrillers.

Jen hasn’t wrote a single book that I haven’t loved. This one is no exception. I love when she takes a darker turn in her writing and goes the serial killer route. This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The ending was slightly predictable but still leaves you with an unforeseen twist.

This book wasnt bad. It just didnt give me that thrill and omg moment i was hoping for. I wasnt expecting romance to be a major theme in this book either.

Plot was it was good. Not omg good but good. I had absolutely no idea who the killer was juat that it was all related to Penn. So it was very interesting to see that Gavin and his cuz was behind it. Their reasons are messed up though.

Overall, not a bad book. Just wish there was more thriller and omg moments.

I finished this one a week ago and can't really remember it, so it mustn't have been too exciting.
I'm not really a young adult fiction fan / reader,  I find them a bit cringey, which is true for this book. I felt like the heavy petting scenes were awkward to read and put me off the rest of the book. Aside from the relationship between Jensen and Ella, the book had some enjoyable parts but nothing to rave about. The twist was unexpected but not shocking once the truth was revealed. I feel like this book would be something a teenager would love.

4 stars. I fall more and more in love with JLA with each book that I read by her. Her books are always super entertaining and addicting and this one was no different. Sure, I knew who was behind everything right away but the ride getting to the big reveal was so much fun.

Ella was a great character. Very easy to root for. She goes through so much and she is a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for. She’s likable and funny and I thought she was a great heroine. Jensen comes into the picture and I’m not gonna lie I was instantly weary of him but he was just as awesome as Ella. They have great chemistry and their relationship develops nicely and is a great balance with all of the chaos and madness that goes on with all the murders and missing teens.

The suspense was fun even though it was predictable. And ass bizarre as it sounds, the killings were creatively done. The ending was great and I will say that I had guessed one part of the mystery the other part caught me completely off guard and I was thoroughly impressed. It was right there in front of my face the whole time.

Overall, this was so much fun and entertaining from beginning to end. I’d highly recommend it.

I absolutely devoured this book it was so good. I’ve loved Jennifer L Armentrout for years but never knew she had written a book like this, horror, slashers, and romance mixed together are right up my alley. I’ve seen reviews where people were saying this was a Scream rip off but I honestly didn’t feel that way. While yes it does bring 90s slasher movies to print I thought it was really well done. I get that it went at a nice place so it didn’t get boring. I also really enjoyed the characters and thought they were well written. I highly recommend this to anyone that enjoys 90s slasher films and romance because this was a great read.
