OH. MY. GODS. WTF. I AM SCREAMING!!!
Kate Dramis is evil for that ending I swear. My heart cannot take it.
Ok whew, gotta calm down and write something here.
So first, clearly this isn’t a duology 😂. I’m going to be super vague here because I don’t feel like I can say much without spoiling either book.
So this is fast paced, super high stakes, lots of angst and tension, and twists. I could NOT put this down. Basically if you loved the first one, you’ll love this too. It might get a teeeeeeny bit bogged down in the middle, but the last 30% is INSANE.
I gasped, I swooned, I grinned, I ached, I SCREAMED.
Highly recommend this series!! I have no idea how I’m expected to wait for the next book!
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the preview. All opinions are my own.

Enthralling, epic, high fantasy. I absolutely loved this book and was disappointed when it ended, I wanted it to keep going. This is one of my favorite fantasy books I have read. The story is bursting with lies, betrayal, deceit, magic, mysteries, love, battle, war, twist, tragedy, and loss. This story had me captivated, shocked, gasping and flabbergasted. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Devon Sorvari, she did a fantastic job bringing life into the story. What an epic book!
The Curse of Sins is the second book to The Curse of Saints. The story continues to follow Aya and Will, they are returning to their home kingdom and have to act like nothing has changed between them. Aya is forced to learn more about the first saint that is prophesied. Will is trying to get back into the queen's good graces without overstepping any boundaries that will hurt Aya. War has officially started, and the destruction of the dark magic wielders is horrendous. Aya and Will have suspicions of the queen's intentions; will she choose what is best for the kingdom or the gods?

Thank you Tanem Collective and Kate Dramis for sending me The Curse of Sins for the Tandem readalong!
The Curse of Sins is the sequel for The Curse of Saints and picks up where that book ended.
It has a lot of action and multiple POVs we follow. I enjoyed all the POVs and grew attached to all the characters - it was great to see what all of them were doing instead of just following one character. Their journeys all added to the richness of the story and setting.
I loved seeing Will and Aya's relationship develop throughout the book, even though some of their miscommunications really hurt! I also loved seeing the friendships between some characters and the importance of that found family for them.
Kate Dramis has left us with a big cliffhanger though and I now need book 3!! I really enjoyed reading The Curse of Sins and can't wait for the next one!

The Curse of Sins was one of my highly anticipated sequels, and it more than lived up to my expectations. This story picks up where the first left off, and Aya and Will are forced to confront the consequences from the choices they made in The Curse of Saints. I loved the split focus between Aya/Will and Aidon/Josie. You could tell it was intentional to have the storylines intersect again at some point, it was just a matter of when. I love stories that are part chess match, and that’s what Dramis did so well in The Curse of Sins. Overall, I love her writing style. Dramis is great at keeping the plot moving well while not skipping out on character development and world building. There’s such a great mix of political intrigue, magic, and action to the point, I could not stop reading this. There were also plenty of betrayals and plot twists to keep you guessing at character’s true motivations and who was ultimately lying. I’m still not over that ending and desperate for book three. I combo read this bouncing between the ebook and audiobook. I think the narration by Devon Sorvari was good overall. The one critique I have is that I wish there was a little more distinction between the different character POVs. It made it difficult to keep track at times because there wasn’t a clear distinction between them at least at the speed I listen. I felt Sorvari did really well at bringing the emotion and amping up the intensity of the story. Overall, I really enjoyed both the ebook and audiobook and feel this would be great to read in either format.

Thank you Tandem Collective for letting me be a part of this read along.
Oh wow i loved book 1 (Curse of Saints) but book 2 was brilliant, what a ending to leave us on! We pick up exactly where we left off with Aya & Will returning home and it being known she is the 2nd saint who will help her defeat Kakos.
All the characters have their own struggles to content with, Aya being given the role of Saint she needs to focus on that which means she needs to step away from her role as part of the Tria. Will having to hid his relationship with Aya and do what it takes to get into the Queens good graces. Tova not understanding what's happened or going to happen after what she went through while in the dungeons. Adion learning to be a king and hid his power, Josie haven't to move on when who she thought was the love of her life betrayed her and her family.
We also have new characters and I really liked Liam but not Lena his twin.
This has the exactly what i enjoy in my fantasy, uncomplicated world building and magic system, political intrigue, romance, twists and turns and battles.
Book 3 cant come soon enough!

Simply put, I loved it!
The Curse of Sins was even better than the first in the series! Without the need for world building, it's straight into the action and character development. I really enjoyed the relationships and political complexities. There was so much going on, so much depth.
It kept up the pace and had brilliant twists right up to the end, which I didn't see coming! I had an inkling that certain characters wouldn't be quite who they seemed to be but not to that extent!
I loved Aya and Will's relationship, they faced a lot of challenges and although some of their communication (or lack of it) was frustrating, overall I found it realistic.
The world and magic system is well thought out and complex and I feel like there is even more to be revealed in the final book! It was also nice to see the bond with the wolves in action as I felt that was missing in Book 1.
This is such a great fantasy, it's unique and I can't wait for Book 3!
