Just like the first one, this book could have been seriously cut down. Not nearly enough happens for the book to be this long.
Will, I love you.
Aya, you annoyed me for a majority of the book and Will deserves better. But I'm glad you grew from your mistakes.
I liked the queernormative aspect of the world and was glad to see secondary queer characters pop up.

I received an advance review copy from Netgalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Curse of The Saints is the second book from Curse of The Sins. I have yet to read the Curse of Saints, and so I am going into this audiobook completely blind. The first thing I want to talk about is the audiobook reader's voice, as that's what I initially heard throughout the entire book. I believe that the book was read fairly well. I don't think that I had any issues with the reader/actor that was chosen for the part. I feel that sometimes voice actors do not match the roles that they are given, and it really changes the vibe of the book for me.
From my understanding Will and Aya are forced to confront their choices from where they last left off. I'm assuming this is in reference to the prior book. The book is very well written. I enjoyed the world, characters, and political building in this story. My take is that these characters seem to be going through a really horrible time. Again, I'm not entirely sure what took place in book one, but I'm sure there was a lot of backstory and introduction that I missed, so I don't want to dock points for that. This book sounds like there is a ton of miscommunication.
There was a section where it slowed down for me a bit, but it eventually picked up. There is a ton of brooding in this book, but I don't know much about the first book. I'm not entirely sure if that was normal for the characters. I did give it 3 stars because the last 20–30% of the book is where it picked up for me. It seemed like the plot twists were endless. The cliffhanger was unexpected, and now I have to read the next book.
Would I read the next book? I would, because of the ending! I need to know what happens next! However, if I do, I will need to go back and read the first book. If I read the first book, my opinion for this second one might change drastically. A lot of my questions would be answered.
