This gif pretty much sums up what I looked like while reading this entire book:
I am entirely shook by how amazing and beautiful this book was. I truly, with all of my heart, did not expect to be this emotionally impacted by this book when I picked it up. If I'm being honest, I expected not to care much for it since the one book I've read by this author in the past, I wasn't a huge fan of her writing. But I'm seeing now that she has grown a lot since that book and I was a big fool for thinking this wouldn't be good.
I think what I love most about this book (besides the beautiful, beautiful romance) are the important topics brought up in it and how well the author did in talking about them. These topics aren't brought up for shock value, as most romance books tend to do, or just to make a character "more dark". You can tell the author did her research and took her time with each and every one of these characters. They are all multidimensional characters. They are human, they are REAL. The amount of tears I have cried for these characters is absolutely unreal and almost never happens but they happened with this book because of how REAL these characters felt to me. At times, it felt like the author had read my own thoughts, my own soul and it made me feel seen in a way that I haven't felt in a book in a long time. I just loved this book so, so much and I won't forget it.
I finally understand what people mean when they talk about the ending being a good one. It's the best ending they could've had in this book and it's one that is needed. I'm dying to get part two and see the conclusion of their epic love story but I'm not gonna lie, I'm hella nervous. I'm nervous book two won't live up to this. That it will have drama and ruin the hard work these characters have put to get to where they are now but I'm going to be patient and wait and have faith. This author has already surprised me once with this book, perhaps she will surprise me again. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone looking for a beautiful, epic love story between two people who are both broken and whole at the same time. It's a story that is hard to read at times, but worth it.

WOW!!!
BLOWN.AWAY!
Could NOT put this book down.
It's been a long time since I have been up late into the night reading a book.
Landon is one of a kind. Yet, there are so many real people that struggle the same way as he does. And I love that these issues are brought out into the open. Brittainy just handled this so completely perfectly. I was really surprised by his integrity and tenderness given what we knew of him from Eleanor & Grey.
And Shay just goes to show you that what you see is not always what you get. People have struggles and you may never even know it. She was the perfect gal for Landon.
And the story.... Good lord, the twists. And there is so much more to come and I am here for it. Waiting patiently for Part 2 to arrive on my kindle. I just can't recommend this emotional story enough.

Loved
As always happens with this author, her books left me with my heart in so many pieces, I can’t help to cry and is just only because Brittainy has her own way to get very deep into you with her words that is impossible not to crack at some point with each and every sentence you read. She’s so good getting under your skin with her characters that make you want to wrap Landon and Shay on the biggest hug and never let them go.
I love how she choose to write about a very important thing that a lots a people struggle and most of the time we as family or friends don’t notice until is too late, especially when who suffers is a man as they tends to hide it because of denial or embarrassed, we should be just humans and reach out for help no matter are gender. Kudos for ms Cherry .
I can’t wait for the second part of this story, I’m already know that is going to be a little hard to read( knowing what we read on E&G) but I can wait for the HEA of this two.

This series is excellent. I can't wait to read the next book.
Okay wow. This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. I was crying, and smiling at the same time
I loved how it was not solely based of romance and the enemies to lovers aspect. It focused on family drama, corruption, and also mental health.
An emotional read and I can’t wait to jump into the second book of this duet!

"A penny for your thoughts...A nickel for your time...a quarter for your heart...A dollar to make you mine..."
Ms. Cherry, you have done it again. You have wrecked my heart and made it whole again. Your story has touched my soul and made me see that you are not alone in the world.
This story of Landon and Shay was full of issues that made me cry, made me laugh and yes even brought more of an understanding to myself and those around me. This story touched me on a personal level and shone a light on subjects that have been in the dark for far too long.
This is a story of friendships, a story of heartbreak. This is also a story of love, redemption and hope, above all else hope.
I can understand why Ms. Cherry decided that Landon and Shay couldn't be contained to just one book....this story deserves and demands to be more.
You have to read this story slowly, you will see the writing on the wall, you will see the twist if you really look and it's gonna break you all over again. But as Mima says "Be brave, my love. Be strong. Be kind. And stay" Stay with this story till the very end.
But most importantly...."Go slow" (The quotes in this story will stay with me for a long, long time)
