The Score by Kristen Proby is Book 3 in the Single in Seattle Series, which follows the next generation of the With Me in Seattle Series. I was hooked immediately by the intensely emotional prologue that sets the scene to explain why Sophie became the woman she is in the book. The topic of eating disorders is addressed, and it was handled with authenticity and grace. Throughout the book, Sophie is a strong beacon of positivity that just wants to help people. The way she crosses paths with Ike was comical and kind of hot. The chemistry between them is smoking throughout the story, and the connection between them is honestly what every woman wants. Anyone who reads these books knows, the world building is what brings you back for more. It’s the family dynamics, the bonds, the laughter, the banter, the security, the willingness to accept someone new if one person loves them— I loved seeing all of this happen for Sophie and Ike. My heart really hurt for Ike over the drama that surrounds his own family situation. I will say I was shocked by the big plot twist towards the end! I am so invested in this world that I can’t wait to see who is next! I’m kind of hoping for Keaton, I think, but will happily read whoever comes!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I think I might have recovered enough from this amazing read to sing its praises. I have been in such an amazing book coma. All I keep thinking is how Ike scored when he collided with Sophie. But, then again, Sophie really scored when Ike knocked her off of her feet.
Apologizes were exchanged but names were not. Yet, neither could stop thinking of the collision or the other person. Neither could I. I was dying to know how they would meet back up. I knew it would happen but was clueless of how it would happen.
The fates intervene. Sophie heads over to her Uncle Will's to share some of the food she prepared for work as a nutritionist. He never says no to her food. He never says no to the guys on the Seattle football team when they ask for guidance either. I was giddy with excitement when Sophie and Ike actually meet.
The chemistry between them is so hot. Ike and Sophie just fit. Sparks fly. They steam up the pages. I loved each and every minute of their romance and courtship. They were destined to be together. It soon becomes apparent that Ike has no clue what it is like to be around such an amazing, supportive family. Sophie is more than happy to share the Montgomerys with him.
There is no such thing as perfect, but I sure felt like Ike and Sophie were pretty darn close. He will need that connection as his world comes crashing down. I couldn't believe the crazy turn the story took. The tension was intense. I was to upset over what Ike had to go through.
I was hooked on the story for the romance. I devoured the story wanting to know how Ike could be on top of the world one minute only for it to come crashing down the next. I have to say I didn't see it coming, but that is what makes it such an amazing story.
The drama, the treachery, the love and family connection have me still thinking about The Score 24 hours later. I don't think I will forget Ike and Sophie any time soon.

Ready for a return visit with the Montgomer family? I sure was and I was not disappointed! We get to visit so many of the original family members along with “the cousins/new generation”. I love it when the girls get together. They are so very funny. I love large family sagas like The Montgomerys (With Me In Seattle and Single in Seattle, the new generation). The newest Single in Seattle story, The Score, by Kristen Proby focuses on Sophie Montgomery and star quarterback, Ike Harrison. Both Sophie and Ike have had some difficult situations in their childhood and young adult lives that have had huge impacts on how they handle adult situations. Will they be able to find forever love together? I just love Kritsen Proby’s writing style. It is fun, easy to read, relatable because these celebrities and millionaires have a true sense of family and right and wrong. That is all due to the author’s writing talents. Oh, the between-the-sheets action and the girls-night-in-scenes are HOT!! The Score is a fun and relaxing escape into the world of The Montgomery family once again. Go get it!!

The Score is a sweet, lighthearted romance that leaves you with a smile on your face. This starts with a meet-cute where Sophie and Ike literally run into each other! The attraction is instant, but both go their own ways only to bump into each other later that day at Sophie's uncle house. I enjoyed both Sophie and Ike and the Single in Seattle world they are surrounded with. Ike has family issues that he needs to work through, and juxtaposing his family with Sophie's massive family really showed the different dynamics. This was such an enjoyable read for me. It came to me at a difficult time and I really needed the happy feeling it left with me in the end.

Warning - once you start this book you will not be able to put it down - yes - it is that good. Sophie and Ike have a chance meeting that sets their future in motion. Both well known, Sophie as an influencer and nutritionist and Ike as a MVP quarterback, but both with very different backgrounds. While Ike's is bleeding him dry, Sophie has more support than she knows what to do with. Will the two backgrounds clash? Or will they have the perfect combination of give and take? A beautifully written story from the opening pages, Kristen Proby only makes Sophie more honest and true by giving her real woman issues that do not hold her back. This book deserves more than 5 stars!!

I liked it but... a bit of a spoiler here: Don't read if you are uncomfortable with feet mentioned during sex. I do think he has a foot fetish and I had to put down the book because I was grossed out. Overall not the best book, I didn't become completely obsessed but a fairly enjoyable read to pass time.

I read an ARC of The Score by Kristen Proby but I couldn’t resist the audiobook too. This sports romance between NFL QB Ike and health and fitness personality Sophie was a lot of fun, but not without some drama. I loved these characters and loved all the cameos from characters from the With Me in Seattle world. The Score is the third book in the Single in Seattle series but can be read as a standalone. Fair warning, it might make you want to read all the others! I loved this book and am also loving the audio so definitely add it to your TBRs!
