I took forever reading the books before and forgot the main plot, was too confused by all the new and old characters and it was just too complicated for my taste.

The story is pretty good. The writing is clearly not. Again I wonder if it’s the translation or if the writing is really not good.

This was slower than the previous book. There where a lot of unimportant characters getting to be POV and some political chat. I really liked Vysogotas and Ciri’s relationship but found it a really long retell of the events in her flashback. Yennefer was hardly in it and Geralt and the gang mostly in the beginning of the book. I liked the end though, and I’m excited to soon be finishing the series!

another solid entry. Lot's of pontificating on destiny and why people are doing what they're doing, which sorta gets old as it keeps happening in every single book.
