I rarely buy a book I don't know anything about it, or the author. In fact, I tend only to read classics or books by already consagrated authors. Yet, as I took a glance at the new books in the bookstore, this one managed to call my attention. I just read the back cover and decided not to buy it yet, but I knew I eventually would. Yep, I thought I was going to find myself identified with the characters, but it seems it wasn't so. Fortunately, I don't think I'm as lost as the two main characters in the book (although on the other hand . . .). It's a nice book, it's well written and a fast read, and it does get you to think about life, the universe and everything else. At the book's beggining I did feel like I was reading a Gossip Girl book, or watching a Glee episode, but once the characters grow up, things settle a lit bit more. I'd reccommend this book to mostly anyone.

I initially thought I wasn’t gonna enjoy this book based on the first chapter because it was much darker than I anticipated but by the end of the second one I was hooked. the characters all feel so real, like they behave like actual people instead of behaving in ways to progress a story if that makes sense. the two main characters, Alice & Mattia, each have very traumatic childhoods and have trouble fitting in but I think there’s something in each of them that anyone reading can relate to
