Super super spicy in a really specific way, there’s a lot of consent added to this trope, more so than others which I appreciated more in the application of a CNC

It was a quintessential dark romance. Instead of asking someone for consensual risky actions, she finds someone online.

Wow!

So good!!

The triggers in this book are real. If you are easily triggered by chase and catch fantasy, this is not the book for you.

But, every word is written with care. The storyline is great and the character building is spot on. I fell in love with Abigail and Leo right away! I might not understand the darkness that they crave but I enjoy reading about it.

hm. i was going to give this book much lower but the emotional aspect that came with working through their trauma did bring it up. I still felt like the writing sometimes felt like a rupi Kaur poem and not in a good way. but I did love their chemistry.

This is book is set in Malvern, what the hell?! It was a little cringe every time she mentioned Malvern but other than that I loved this book! Primal play 😍 the spice 😍

Kinda felt like a marvel trauma story. Disney but still violent. Didn’t really delve into the subjects or characters enough and it seemed like almost nothing was resolved but now they’re together and magically coping better so great?

I wanted desperately to love this book. I want to tell you exactly what it was that didn’t work for me, but even I don’t know. I didn’t find this book very erotic, and not because it’s CNC I actually read it because of that very thing. The writing was… off putting to me. So many terms that confused me and I don’t know if it’s because it wasn’t based in the US, but the writing just felt… off. Like it was suppose to be lyrical or flowery or something.

Some of the things this heroine said were just… off putting and not erotic in the slightest. “Two in the pink, one in the stink” I mean are we high school boys or???

I wanted to love this book… but honestly I barely liked it.
