I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed Written in the Stars and The Fiancée Farce. It was a bit slow and I don’t feel like it really picked up until the last 6 chapters. I found myself annoyed with Annie’s character but did appreciate the dilemma she was in.

I know it’s been a while but… NEW REVIEW! ✨

The chokehold Alexandria Bellefleur has on me right now is like no OTHER. I’m going to be so transparent with you guys - I have been in the worst reading slump (you can probably tell). Between musical season and crazy things happening at work, I have been so exhausted I haven’t had much time to read, and when I do have time I’m honestly just laying on my couch contemplating my life decisions.

I knew that if I picked up the next book in the Written in the Stars series, I would get pulled out and Y’ALL, when I tell you this book grabbed me by both hands and RIPPED me out, I mean it! It had be giggling, kicking my feet, tearing up, swooning, grinning… every chapter had me beaming for Brendon. He is the soft boy that I needed and was craving!

This book also solidified my need to venture to the West Coast and see Seattle with my own eyes. I didn’t realize until this book that all of my favorite romance books take place in the Pacific Northwest, so now I think Destiny and I are planning our own romantic adventure there.

Trust me, if you haven’t read this series, PLEASE pick it up immediately. I’ll be starting book 3 tomorrow so that I can continue to get my fix of Brendon, Darcy, Elle, and the crew! 💕

If you enjoy a story that basically just beats around the bush the entire time, then this is absolutely for you. I, on the other hand, get driven to insanity because of this. The writing is stellar as always, it just really wasn't the right plot for me

Mm that was disappointing. When the best relationship in a romance novel isn't the couple but the female MC and her best friend, you know you're in for a rough one. It was inoffensive, but it just never clicked.

This was sweet and felt like reading a rom com movie. Nothing groundbreaking but still enjoyable nonetheless. There’s very little conflict and because of that the third act does drag a little for me

Trigger warnings: abandonment, divorce

I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I jumped at the chance to continue it. I liked both Annie and Brendon in their brief introductions during the previous book so I was actually really excited to see how a romance between them would develop. I loved both characters, though I do have to say Brendon is higher on my list than Annie haha. I really liked how earnest he was, how kind and just genuine as a person. You can really feel how much he cares about others, and about people finding love from the page. It gets him into trouble sometimes and honestly, if I was his friend and single, I'd probably be annoyed too. But it comes from such a good place that it's easy to see past it. Annie was definitely the more frustrating out of the two. I understood her perspective, it's hard to let go of a life you've been living for so long. However, it was really annoying how much she fought against creating happiness for herself even if it included a lot of change. I can't say much though cause I hate change with a passion haha. I really enjoyed how their romance developed, how it was slow and sweet and just cute. I would've liked a bit more astrology in here, only because that's part of what attracted me to the series, but overall, such a good continuation!

Cinnamon roll heroes are hit or miss for me and Brendan is a miss. He's too sweet, feels kinda flat/formless. Not much to him. Story is also a bit too cutesy for me.
