This series is a faced-paced adventure book, kind of like National Treasure. This is my type of book, adventure mixed with Ancient History including the Babylonians. An elite group from different nations has been tasked with gathering secrets from the 7 Ancient Wonders to stop the tremendous power falling into the wrong hands. Loved the story and starting the 2nd now.

Seven Deadly Wonders is one the few, if not the only history-conspiracy-thriller-action thingamajig I've read that I genuinely liked. it has its flaws, obviously. Matthew Reilly has a tendency to go overboard with the exclamations to remind us that the action is intense, and the story needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. However, it is very enjoyable, and difficult to put down. The characters are fun, and the pseudohistorical conspiracies fall right into that sweet spot of being exciting while not trying too hard.

While totally unbelievable and completely insane, this book was awesome!

I started reading it late one night to help me get to sleep and couldn't put it down for another 3 hours! And I had just gotten off a plane with barely any sleep! It's that good!

Matthew Reilly sets such a fast pace that makes it impossible to stop reading as one crazy expedition leads to another.

Saving the world has never been such an enjoyable read!

Loved this book and I'm keen to read the others!

Why did I wait this long to stay reading these books?!

Lots of fun. Non-stop and very much an historical fiction - reminds me of Indiana Jones! I’m biased, but I love the fact that Reilly puts the US on the back foot and Australia reigns supreme! The way it should be!

This was completely different from what I'm used to reading but it was refreshing. It is very fast paced and full of adventure. I love Jack west and can't wait to be apart of his other adventures. He really is like an Aussie Indiana Jones.
