A pulse-pounding, deeply felt haunted house story. Our main character is a feisty older woman, sometimes a bit too feisty, who enjoys loose leaf tea and lives with a young ghost girl. When the MC's sister returns with news of their family, darkness that's been kept at bay for years begins to creep in. Written with a dual timeline, this book offers good creepiness for spooky season. If you think the house and woods are spooky, wait until you get to the abandoned asylum! Its heart wrenching when things finally come to light, but overall, this is a satisfying gothic horror novel.

I generally steer clear of the Horror genre, but this one wasn’t too bad. The story was great, albeit somewhat predictable. I enjoyed reading this one.
3.25 stars. The story was engaging, and spooky without being too spooky. There were some elements that felt a bit disjointed, and some things that didn’t really feel necessary to the story. I really liked the use of flowers as language, it added a unique element to the story.

Interesting premise but a prickly main character who seemed ready to bite everyone's head off for simply trying to help her made for a tough read. It's hard when you get a unlikeable character and even more so when the character is the main one for the novel. Also, why does the 55 year old lead act like a old lady in her 70s or 80s?! 50s is not old age anymore... Would have much preferred the story be told through the younger sister's point of view who was flawed but at least likeable. I also love the concept of flowers with hidden meanings and spirits haunting the manor which is what drew me to this book in the first place.
A big thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books for sending me the eArc of "Her Little Flowers" in exchange for an honest review.
As an avid fan of the Gothic genre, I found the premise absolutely thrilling. All the elements to make this book my next favorite read were there, but for some reason, it fell flat for me.
