SHRIEK

This is pretty fantastic. Some of the two page spreads are amazing! Wicked awesome art!
And the story is so good. Smart, quick, funny... so entertaining. I also love that it takes the whole teenage-super-beings and has fun with it. The plot revolving around the fact that most if their parents are dead and/or evil is amazing. And all the adult avengers are totally oblivious. It's so perfect.

this is so much fun !!! i love EVERYTHING about this - sassy banter, tumblr (sorry yamblr!) summaries, loki is unapologetically brutal, billy and teddy are so cute wtf (my queer heart is satisfied), the art, the writing, it's all perfect. i'm obsessed.

In comics younger heroes are often written as smaller adults but here Gillen and McKelvie get the feel of being young and making mistakes just right, only the mistakes involve superpowers.

Despite the title, there's depth here with guilt, relationships and finding purpose moving underneath the Big Exciting Fun Pop Adventure Thing and that thing is a great ride, peppered with brilliant ideas.

I kind of wish we could have had more America being really gay. Since I'm reading this without a single background knowledge of these characters, it was really fun. Also: David is my boo.

At first when I rated this book a 4, but that was stupid of me because this book is spectacular and definitely, abso-fucking-lutely deserving of 5 stars! The characters are amazing, and the storyline is interesting and if that wasn't enough It’s hilarious!

This was BEAUTIFULLY drawn and so FUN and charming. I love Loki.

while i truly adore the art and the characters (the young avengers will always have a place in my heart), i think this is pretty overrated especially compared to the first volume which was fucking AWESOME and a fucking trip. so i didn't really enjoy this. i'm sorry, america chavez, i love you
