Todos son muy cool y creo que empece mal jajajajaj, esta muy bonito.
Flat-out enjoying this, with one or two minor quibbles. The best thing: Kid Loki and his pop culture knowledge ("Well, I'm Tyrion!"). Second best thing: Wiccan and Hulkling. Third best thing: Some excellent panels, like Noh-Varr's attack plan.
True Rating:4.5 (And be grateful!)
I have heard about Young Avengers for quite awhile thanks to television show, movies, and from fellow YouTubers. I have no clue about the individual characters, their super powers, and their parents except the famous ones like Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye and the rest. At first I was apprehensive about reading this book because I did not know if I have to read any series before this but from my understanding and how this is a relaunch series that you can be a newbie and get to learn about this characters and their storylines. The reality of what I experience: I have no F@%^ clue who these characters are, why they aren't avengers anymore, the multiverse, and the antagonist of this series.
I honestly believe that if you relaunched a series then you need to do the job of providing an introduction towards your characters and not make me do all the work. I hate having to stop what I am reading to then go online and wikipedia the characters and their dilemma only to get spoiled or learn too much about the characters. That is not my job as the reader, it is the job of the creator and the artist to help guide their readers.
So in this series, Miss America is on Earth-212 in what looks like New York City where she is going to meet Loki (who looks like a boy because he died and came back to life?). He tells her about how the Scarlet Witch has a son named Wicca aka Billy Kaplan who is very powerful but doesn't know how to control his power and offers a proposition for her to kill him. Outraged, Miss America gets into a fight with Loki and decides to follow him because she knows he's up to no good (when is he ever?).
After that incident we meet Teddy Altman who is an Alien shapeshifter who is the boyfriend of Billy and we get a little insight on how Teddy's mother died in battle and its been over a year of her death and he is still affected by it. He loves Billy and always places Billy's needs first before himself and that very same night Billy decides with his powers to find Teddy's mom in the multiverse and rescue her. Loki arrives to stop him but sadly he gets interrupted yet again by Miss America.
Billy is successful at bringing Teddy's mom back and everything seems to be right in the world until Teddy's mom infects Billy's parents and practically mind control them. When Teddy and Billy figure out that this woman is not Teddy's mother, he uses his powers to return her back from where she came from and unfortunately the spell backfires and he has no clue as to why it doesn't work. In the meantime they escape going to the Avengers to get the Scarlet Witch and the rest of the Avengers to help but unfortunately they are brainwashed too. With no one to turn to they see that the battle is already over until Loki comes around and rescues Billy and Teddy.
Loki apparently is the only one who understands what is going on and apparently the spell that Billy cast was not properly handle meaning every time one of the young avengers get close to where their parent dies, there parents comes back to life only brainwashed and become puppets of this parasite alien. Even though the Young Avengers are disbanded under Loki's leadership they are once again the superheroes they are meant to be.
The illustration and the artwork is phenomenal and I love how they put effort into their comics to make these characters look stunning and graphic. I love Teddy and Billy and was quite shock to find out that main character is gay and for me I find it remarkable that for a series dedicated to a younger audience speaks both to us living in the 21st century and how the writers are not afraid of showing that a lgbt person can be a superhero. I applaud them for that I am definitely hooked on learning more about Teddy and Billy.
For me I try to find a superhero that I love or can relate to and I believe Billy is actually a badass superhero. He is learning the ropes and I believe he will be very resourceful and powerful when he is older. I love how the writers came up with a way of illustrating how many young people are committing suicide for being gay while not making it obvious. Billy finds his powers to be a burden than a solution (metaphor for being gay) and at one point was going to commit suicide to end all the madness but in the end he didn't go through with it. I believe thats very powerful and I could relate to him on an emotional level and now I am addicted to this series. The action was jam-packed and supplied us with everything that we need in order for it be a great comic. I am just utterly disappointed on the lack of introduction to these characters. I am still clueless about what this series is about and I have no idea about these characters backstory. If it weren't for me doing research I would be more confuse than ever.
The title Style > Substance fits perfectly to what I just experience. The artistic style sadly triumphed over the substance which I believe both could have been equally matched. I would have prefer substance any day because I would be able to understand this series and actually love the characters.
If I have to do double the work to understand the characters then obviously you are not doing a great job at providing the details. I hope the next upcoming volumes provide more clarity into these characters and the dilemma that they face ahead. I desperately wanted to give this comic lower than a 4 but even after all the confusion and lack of filling in the blanks I still want to read this series and for me that means there is potential for it grow and improve. I love Kieron Gillen for Darth Vader and I hope I will love this one as well.

Miss America is a great addition the team. Hulking masquerading as spiderman is hilarious. But I am glad he finally confronted Billy. But of course his mom coming back is too good to be true and then it get’s quite crazy. Love Kidloki as well but am missing Speed, Patriot and Cassie. The art is gorgeous. Overall a solid start into a new adventure with my favourite team, but not as good as it has been.
At first when I rated this book a 4, but that was stupid of me because this book is spectacular and definitely, abso-fucking-lutely deserving of 5 stars! The characters are amazing, and the storyline is interesting and if that wasn't enough It’s hilarious!

Disclaimer: I know next to nothing about the Avengers franchise. I've seen one (two?) of the movies, and only because work brought us, and I have stickers from it and I have a picture next to a fake Hulk. That's it. That's all I know.
BUT. This! Diversity! Queers! Strong females! A storyline that makes sense for teenagers! So great! (Adding Miss America to my list of characters I'd like to be for Halloween/themed parties, because good god, those legs in those shorts. Hashtag goals.)

So cool! A ton of quotable moments, excellent art, and really fun characters.

Young Avengers Vol. 1 is a fun comic. As a big MCU fan, I wanted to dip my toes into the Young Avengers because of the rumours that they are coming into the MCU. I think America Chavez was more awesome in this comic than in the movie. Hopefully, she will grow into comic America. I am curious to read the other two volumes in this series but it doesn't have high priority.
I'd read some less-than-favorable reviews of this volume prior to reading it and I was certain that they were wrong....until I read it. The title is unfortunately accurate, with the style and pop culture references being more important than the storyline or character development. I understand that the book pulls from other volumes I have yet to read, but Marvel usually does a better job with first volumes and I was pretty disappointed. I see the potential in the characters and I, of course, love the casual inclusion, but I think they could have done a better job.
