Can the MCU already make Young Avengers?? Like I want it right now, I can’t wait.
Light, breezy, and pretty fun. It really is style over substance but I enjoyed the overall arc. Might make me a fan of the young avengers!!

THIS IS AMAZING AND YOU SHOULD BUY IT.
Especially if you enjoyed Marvel Now's "HAWKEYE".

Cheesy at times, and heartbreaking at others, the Young Avengers reboot is a series that I've now eagerly begun. I love every character - while some have not been as developed as others (Kate, Noh-Varr), there's no sense that they don't fit in with the rest of the crew, that they band of misfits are puzzle pieces.
The humor was good, and the relationships between the characters felt natural (mainly Billy + Teddy, Kate + Noh-Varr). The characters work off of each other easily, and no one feels like a prop.
I liked that this beginning arc had them fighting against their parents - the very persons whom teenagers struggle to obey. A slightly heavy-handed metaphor, but nonetheless interesting to see carried out.
There were also some unexpectedly complex moments, such asBilly's attempted suicide, and Loki's self-conflict .

A bit confusing, but that’s probably on me because I read this before any of the other Young Avengers volumes. (This says Volume 1, but maybe it’s not really?) Great characters and a ton of action-fueled fun. I’ll look into how to read this in the correct order and possibly re-review later.
This was pretty fun! I'd probably go more inline with 3.5!
What I liked: The interaction between all the characters. The standouts are obviously going to be Marvel Boy and Loki. They truly give the funniest lines. However all of the characters really make it more interesting. The art is solid, everyone looks fun and upbeat. I also enjoyed the pacing where I never felt bored not even once.
What I didn't like: That it all got wrapped up to quickly. Actually, the plot itself seemed a bit off to me anyway. I liked the characters but the story itself just didn't feel like it lived up to the characters. It felt very...generic. I guess if I knew the characters more it would matter more.
Either way this was fun. I'm going to try reading the next volume soon and see if my enjoyment goes up. I have a feeling it will.

Oh, this was a fun volume. I was grinning the whole time. I like the team dynamic that's forming, and I love America Chavez and Kate Bishop like whoa. I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out (especially with Loki's scheming, and whatever internal conversation is going on there).
I've been a fan of the Young Avengers for a long time now. Just the concept appealed to me and the fact that they had a gay couple was a big draw for me. This volume totally delivers.
The book is pretty beautiful with great character designs and layouts. I remember the last couple times I saw a Young Avengers issue, the art was really not my style.
The story arc is a bit convoluted, but still good. Kid Loki makes everything more interesting, but having not read his arc in Journey Into Mystery, I found myself a bit confused by him. There's also clearly some history with Miss America and Noh-Varr, but they got very little exposition. For that matter, none of the characters did, really. Having read three of the other main YA stories, this wasn't an issue for me, but could be for new readers.
Other than that, I thought it was a really interesting and solid way to bring this team together. I loved seeing that Billy, Teddy, and Kate are still friends. I hated watching Kid Loki mess with them. I want to like Miss America and Noh-Varr, but don't want them replacing Patriot and Iron Lad or any of the other team members lost along the way. My point is that I care about this team and all of it's working parts at the end if the day, that's what sells me on a book.
