DID NOT FINISH, stopped literally in the 1st chapter.

Yeah, no. The way he reacts when she confronts him is the most gaslighting thing I have ever witnessed. I have no desire to continue reading, I did Google what happens and I am happy I stopped, because nope. I like dark romance and I can’t really explain why I enjoyed some of them even though they were fucked and couldn’t stand this one. It’s just idk where the dark romance is, all I see is severe mental and emotional abuse 😂  In many dark romances these are present and a huge point of it is the fact that there are morally gray or black characters, but I can’t get behind Hayden even in the pretend world. Idk maybe I just became more specific since I’ve read more of them now. If I continued I am pretty sure I would hate it based on what I read about it, also I hate when people put 15 plots into less than 300 pages lol. To me this just seems Stockholm syndrome, not romance, I really disliked Calista in the 1st book but now I actually feel bad for her for having to deal with this lunatic 😅
