I didn't remember as much about this book as I did Monday, so the story was a lot fresher in my mind. It was excellent as expected!

With the second book in the Keys to the Kingdom series, the series seems be settling into a familiar pattern. The plot is predictable but not bad. The pacing is good, the description and dialogue fine. The book is a quick read. A good book but not great. Amid a sea of YA quest/adventure style offerings, there is nothing to make this one stand out. I am divided about whether I'll read the next in the series. I'd prefer to be wow-ed but if there's nothing else to read I may pick up the next one.

Second verse, same as the first. It’s exactly as good as the first book, maybe better if only because it doesn’t need to establish so much of the world at the start of the book.

Es war schon gut, vor allem, weil man gut wieder über die Geschehnisse aus Band 1 informiert wurde. Aber irgendwie hatte ich das Gefühl, dass zwar viel passiert ist, aber gleichzeitig kaum etwas.

Nothing groundbreaking here, but I'm finding this series to be more fun than (if not completely identical to) The Seventh Tower.

The public library system doesn't have the third audiobook

Bonkers, this entire saga is bonkers, completely over-the-top situations watched through an earthen lens and it works, it feels natural and painful, but natural, a pause, I need a pause.
Normal that as a child I hated these books, thanks Control for making me picked these up again.
I loved how quick pace this volume is and the foreshadowing is delicious.
