It was a good MM romance book, but it had a couple pieces that pulled me out of the story. One MMC has an eyebrow piercing but plays hockey competitively and is moving to an NHL team? Interesting. The other MMC, who has never had intercourse with another man, on his third time ever bottoming suddenly knows exactly what to do and just immediately goes to pound town with minimal preparation…. Okay …. The author(s) also consistently refer to the prostate as this magical thing that immediately triggered orgasms - it is referred to as a land with fairies and unicorns at one point - and this is simply not the case. Another time the author(s) state “I love having my own personal bad boy in bed with me” about the MMC with an eyebrow piercing …. Immediate cringe and second-hand embarrassment.

wow. that was so good ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? i was reading the like us series, and i had just finished tangled like us, and i was still battling the major hangover from moffy and farrow, and i knew i still had to read one more book about thatcher and jane, and i only wanted to ready about marrow, so i was like imma read this. bc 1. elle doesn’t miss and 2. i’ve wanted to read this for a while. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. i LOVVEEEED this. it was exactly what i wanted and thought and hoped it would be. i adore these characters so much. the development of the story was perfect. wes and jamie are amazing together. their chemistry, and the TENSIONNNNNNNNN was SO GOOD. i loved the beginning when there was tension and then all of a sudden jamie was getting super jealous about that guy in the bar and you were like mhm sure you’re not jealous... and then lines start to blur and all of a sudden he’s feeling SOME TYPA WAY about his bestie... too fucking good. the whole bestfriends made this so good too because they already knew each other so well and their friendship was cemented. so then they built on their love for each other and it was just so beautiful. istg their tension was insane. i’m literally in love with them. i would also like to say that i love how there was literally no conflict because it made me so happy because i loved seeing them all laughs and jokes and couply kissing. this was great. highly enjoyed. i also think there’s a sequel called “us” or something, so maybe i’ll read that next or the next book in the like us series. not sure. but this was great. ELLE NEVER LETS ME DOWN!!!!

There are no purple prose, just purple skittles-Fast paced and easy to read.  It is a lovely representative of the spicy romance genre. Doesn’t require brain cells and doesn’t pretend to be serious. It is enough without being too much. Dual pov. The antithesis of ‘bury your gays.’ Little to no trauma.
