I loved this book!!
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

Was an interesting read .
I felt thrown around a bit , almost like I was reading isolated short stories but they were eventually connected (mostly )by a thin cord .
The development of different stages in a persons life and how one starts and where one finishes was insightful .
I had to reread a few bits to try to tie some loose ends and to keep up with numerous characters and connect them together .
This book lacked a soul , but I guess it was meant to be devoid of it .I guess the point of the book is to ask ourselves the questions , Does technology control us , or do we control technology and there is a invisible line were one can easily cross over .

Jennifer Egan’s mind, man. Absolutely incredible. I’ll be thinking about this one for a long time.

(Oh and definitely read A Visit from the Goon Squad first if you have any interest in this. It’s also excellent, and connecting characters and plot lines between the two novels was so rewarding.)

It didn't impact me like The Goon Squad, and I'm a bit hesitant about the SF elements. Still some deeply moving stories about life, and some very creative stories. It could have been longer, there are some interesting and compelling characters I like to know more about.

The secret to a happy ending is knowing when to walk away.
