The Seer series continues to get better as it goes along. In this installment, Sabine moves back in with Nona, whose illness continues to deteriorate, and returns to her old "new" school, friends, and boyfriend. But she's also gained a lot more confidence and peace about who she is. She continues struggling with her attraction and connection to Dominic, while feeling that she should be loyal to Josh. So she agrees to help as a mentor on a horseback riding camp for underprivileged kids that Josh is organizing. However, when the last of the silver charms that will lead to the remedy book with a cure for Nona's illness is found, Sabine and Dominic think they've also located where the book may be and go searching for, and find, it. Stuck in Dominic's truck in the snow on their way back, Sabine makes the decision that while Josh is a great guy who she admires and respects, the guy she loves (and is hot for) is Dominic. But how to tell Josh? And will they be able to make the remedy for Nona and will it work?

Sabine is also struggling with the huge shock from the end of the last book, where she discovers she has a half-sister, Jade. She's resentful of the new relative and even angrier when Jade shows up at Nona's for Thanksgiving and then convinces Josh to bring her along on the horseback trip, along with Sabine and Dominic, and Sabine's nemesis but Josh's best friend, Evan. And then a killer shows up in Jade's tent on the trip and Sabine saves her life, and they start to bond a little. Sabine still hasn't broken up with Josh, but that takes care of itself when he interrupts a seance Sabine, Nona, Dominic, and others are conducting so Jade can speak to her dead stepfather, who she loved.

I'll be honest that a big part of what I liked about this book was that Sabine and Dominic finally get together. But I also liked how Sabine was maturing, becoming more comfortable with who she was, with using her gift (even though she still didn't tell best friend Penny-Love about it), and with the variety of people with whom she had become friends.

My favorite of the seer series so far. Though the fact the she reintroduces EVERY character and EVERY plot point and EVERY location in EVERY book almost made me stop read this book, if it continues I don't know if I will be able to finish the series.

Easy and fun read, didn't take long to finish; I really liked all the books in this series but I wish she had gone into more detail at the end of the book, the end felt very abrupt.

Aside from the Dominic scenes - honestly not great. I know I have to be really forgiving as this series came out almost 2 decades ago but still...

Way too much backwards and forwards with plot and character development. Sabine frustrating me. The random twists that felt jarring. The whole point of the series circulated on rounding up the charms to find the remedy to cure Nona. And when that happens it's the most anticlimactic scene ever. All that suspense... for nada. To only be overtaken by a side character randomly thrown in at the end of the series.

Regardless. These books are fast reads, good fun and enjoyable for the most part. The love triangle would probably drive you insane in Fatal Charm.

I should start by saying this is the first book in series I have read - I started it prior to knowing it was series. I was able to jump into the book and plot was easy to follow. Characters are believable and well developed. Worth the read

This first part of this book had me frustrated with Sabine's continual desire to "fit in" and inability to realize her true feelings, but finally she realized that it's better to be herself than to "fit in". It took way too long (5 books too long), but I'm glad it finally happened.

As with the other books in the series, it's not particularly well written, but it kept my interest and was a fun, quick read.
