Fascinating historical journey through the history of lobraries. This book took me a while to get through because it's dense but the density provided so much interesting information about the continuation of libraries.

This book took me FOR EVER to read, it’s exceptionally dense and packed with the kind of language you’d find in a journal or a scientific report. I learned a lot, that’s for sure. I will definitely come back to dig into some of the references and citations (the full final 20% of the book by page count). I definitely highlighted many thought provoking passages and found some very interesting details - it’s just not something I would recommend if you’re looking for something engaging and snappy.
