Good in general
Really feels YA
No real bog cliffhanger like I thought it would have
Like it though

Honestly I would give this book 5 stars but I need to leave room for the other books haha. Maybe I'll change it at some point tho.

The writing style is very different for me but I really love it. The "crossing out words/sentences and correcting it" was such a nice thing. It adds a lot of detail and a little inner monologue and conflict from Juliette.

The connection between Adam and Juliette is so cute and I love the fact they never really talked but both fell in love. (Still why tf did adam steal her mattress)

Warner...damn. I think I'll like him in the next books even if he's the bad guy in this book. I love the enemy to lovers vibe and the desperation he feels towards Juliette.

Looking forward to the next books.

I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting when I picked up this book, but I definitely expecting a bit more than I was given.
This story fell very flat for me. Maybe it's because it's a dystopian and I'm not very interested in that anymore, but I had problems with more than just the plot. I felt like this was too fast-paced and I didn't have time to develop any real connections with the characters, even Juliette.
I also truly cannot stand the romantic interactions, but to me it isn't much about love, it's mostly about lust. I understand Juliette's obsession with being about to touch someone, but I just don't think it's realistic that every time she and (insert name) are remotely alone they're trying to rip each other's clothes off. I also just cringe at the way the romance scenes are written.
I think it's an interesting concept, but the only thing that I really liked about this book was that it went by quickly. I'm not sure if I will be continuing with the rest of the series or not.
Since this was a debut novel, I think I might pick up the second one in the hopes that it is an improvement.

Well almost finished with Shatter me.. and I must say the first half was great (nice action, lots of questions and answers, there was excitement and I liked the writing style), but it got boring quickly. And I got a bit tired of all the Adam x Juliette. It was fun a few times, but it got really bleh. And I really hated Warner and what he kept trying to do to Juliette(and when he found out certain stuff, it got even worse).

Edit: Done with the book. The ending was nice and I was happy for Juliette. I might read the second book some day.
I give the book 3 stars.
