It is a rare series that, upon completion, makes me want to read it all over again. I feel certain that this is a series that will only get better with rereading.
To have had this series to look forward to in the evenings, after studying, has been a gift in this past month, which has otherwise been consumed with the taking and painstaking reviewal of practice exam after practice exam. I have finished this book, the last in the series, the day before the exam for which I’ve prepared these past 4 months, and it seems a fortuitous omen for tomorrow. In my mind, I think, the two will probably always be intertwined.
So, so, so, a journey ends, a journey begins, or so it seems to me tonight, as I sit in the afterglow, full of gratitude toward MWT, for her Thief, her Queens, her Sounis, Pheris, Kamet and Costis, and all the others she has loaned me this month as fellow travelers. I have felt their value keenly.

A stellar ending to one of the best fantasy series I've ever read. It was compelling, made me laugh, and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire novel. You see new and old faces, and learn some shockingly wonderful details about old favorites.

one of the best conclusions to a fantasy series I've read... so satisfying! the twists! the turns! throughout the series, I was skeptical about the "gods are real" parts of the story, but u know what... ok. i like it!

This was a great ending to the series. I really liked it. I loved seeing the characters through a new perspective again, and the plot was really tense and interesting. I think it was a great ending to this series, honestly.
I liked the first half a bit more than the second, mostly because I enjoyed the character growth in the first half of the book. The second half was more focused on the war and a bit more plot-focused.
All in all, a great conclusion to the series.
