Okay, typical romance story, yay. Why do I do this to myself? I find this is the case with every book from this author I've read where the first two chapters are TERRIBLE, because there is so much backstory shoved into so few pages that it feels so forced and uncomfortable. But after that it was better.
Also, in the most vague way possible, that one thing that made him know that one thing... THERE'S NO FUCKING WAY THAT'S REAL. Google says that doesn't exist and my jaw literally DROPPED. Hated that thing. Good way to pass a boring afternoon, very quick story, and I liked that the FMC liked reading. One of us!

The heartbreak, the butterflies, the angry, the sadness, and the happiness I felt while reading this book. Only put this book down ONCE but when it was in my hands I was so invested.
Joseph and Lilly were such an emotional roller coasters. I wanted to hug Lilly so bad. I also want to give Joseph a hug but a much bigger one. I never wanted a couple to have an happily ever after so bad before.

the first one and second one in this series were filled with plot that was definitely for people who liked the Ritual. This one however was not nearly the same. This series would have been better as a standalone. This third installment was repetitive to the point where it read like the second one but with different character names. It lacked a strong plot which meant you were just left with smut between two characters that frankly I just didn’t care about. The auction in the first one drew me in but that was completely abandoned in this one. It wasn’t bad writing or anything, it just suffered from lack of a strong plot and underdeveloped characters.
