Very informative, easy to read and understand, great for younger audiences. Not a great peace of literature, but very much an important one. Feels like reading a teenagers blog, which in case of this kind of the story is an excellent way to go.
I would not recommend it for more adult audience, because the story seems a bit unreal, fairytale-esque and partly unbelievable to a critical mind. But to a youngster it would be a great book to read about hardships of people in the world.

"They can not kill my beliefs."
I listened to this on Audio. And even though this was the younger readers edition on audio, which I guess just meant a lot of the background on religion, politics, etc. was taken, I don't feel like I missed anything on her story. I can always do my own research on the history of the religion and politics in her country.
She stands up for education for all, but especially for women's education. And the Tailban tried to murder her and her father for it. She survived to tell her story and I applaud her for being brave and bold enough to stand up for what she believes in, especially in a country that may not value education for all.

Bought from thrift and didn't realize I was reading the young readers version at first, but really enjoyed hearing her story.

Wow! I love the addition of Malala's speech at the end of the audiobook. I was aware of the situation around Malala when it happened but not to this depth. I am curious to read the "adult" edition, which I heard details more of the politics behind the Taliban, education and misogyny and what was happening in Pakistan during that time.

Interesting to contrast the young readers with the full version.
