Ugh. It's impossible to get pack all the issues. The core book is solid. The mystery is interesting!  There are great plot twists!

And then the book is adamantly pro-slavery, the fat shaming is insane, and the misogyny palpable. Characters do not act consistently and Harry has NO personality in this.

Part of a shared read with Flo. Took ages to get through, but it was fun watching someone read for the first time.

This was a great and very intriguing book, the story was very interesting and it was really enjoyable to read. Does a really good job of advancing the story, and it works well on it's own as well.

This series was one of my favorites as a kid, but as an adult I can't see past J.K. Rowling's bigotry both on and off the page.

.
