THAT COVER IS INTRIGUING...YET DECEITFUL.

Well this was an interesting read. There were some elements that I enjoyed and some that bore me to tears. I would have liked the different stories to have individual personalities but instead they all still sounded like they were one person.

DNF. This was beyond what I can tolerate. I gave up. It is too bizarre for me. It is just way too weird and way too gory.

If the first short story, “Guts”, doesn’t turn you away- you might be ready for the whole ride.

Ever read something and immediately wish you could somehow unread it. I had many of those moments in this book. I am unsure about the value of this book, but at least the author is not a bad writer - which is something considering all of the not ready for publication books I've been coming across lately.

I think this is my favorite Chuck Palahniuk book ever....but it is deeply disturbing so the reader should be warned.

Dark, gory, and funny. I'm impressed with how Palahniuk tied multiple short stories into his entire novel and made it cohesive.

Hard to follow, agonisingly-slow paced, edgy slop. I loved Fight Club but absolutely hated this, which is really upsetting. I’ve been looking forward to this book for years. Really wasn’t worth reading at all. I can’t stress how frustrating of an experience this was.
