This was okay but not one of my faves. I liked the main character Ross, and the premise that all these thieves are competing in this game.

The first challenge where they had to steal something from a museum was my favourite, I was really hooked, it had drama, tension, stakes. The second challenge where they had to get the sarcophagus from an auction lost me a bit. It just felt like it took so long. And then by the time it was the last challenge where they had to kidnap a loved one of another challenger I wasn’t that invested anymore.

I found myself getting quite attached to some of the other 9 challengers and then when they got eliminated I was a bit bitter because i wanted to see more of them (Kyung-soon and Mylo for example). Ross’ mum is a nasty piece of work lmao. Imagine staying your own kidnapping just to make sure your daughter doesn’t ditch your controlling behaviour.

I’m 50/50 with the romance between Ross and Devroe, I had moments where I loved it and was rooting for them but then there were other times where I just didn’t care that much.

Overall, I did like this even though it took me a while to finish it. The twists and turns are very clever so got to give credit where credit is due

Well-paced and easy to read with great characters and a good plot with lots of drama. Occasionally falls victim to lulls, and the use of modern slang is something that bothers me so if you don't mind that then this is perfect for you. Definitely a great read for teens aged 15+ who love a heist type book.

I really enjoyed the twists and turns with this book.

A good read if you like Heists or puzzles, the romance element is low and possibly a little underdeveloped but works within the plot line.

The character development of Ross is good throughout and develops in a natural way.

The plot line is good and I’m interested to see where the next book goes - the leading gives good suspense to what’s to come.

I enjoyed it so much! Ross is so much better than me because I almost lost it in half of the situations she was put in. I loved seeing her character development over time and damn I just want to give her a hug because damn that ending! I can’t wait to read the next one!
