definitely my favorite grant county novel since the first one! i LOVED the format of this one. so different from the other books in the series, yet everything that i love about them and that compells me to keep reading was still present in full force here. i loved getting the story of jeffrey and sara's past, because more often than not their present day dynamic made me wonder why the hell they were even attempting to be together anymore - and i particularly enjoyed understanding jeffrey's past better.
as usual, i read this one on audio and the narrator did a fantastic job. karin slaughter is definitely one the greatest thriller authors i've ever read from and i'm just glad she's so prolific i feel like i'll never run out of titles to read.
