Wow this book blew me away. It was so raw and heart wrenching- it was almost hard to read at times because I could feel it ALL. I cried a little, laughed and rooted for these sisters (especially Jayne)- were they likable? Not so much. Relatable? Absolutely. Their dynamic was uncomfortable and painful to read about, but it was also so honest. Perspective is everything and I loved that Jayne was able to mature and reflect on their past. We don’t choose our family, but we can choose to love them through all of the highs and lows that life throws at us.

Jayne is annoying at first, but very human. I was underwhelmed by the ending.

sisters who kind of hate each other but support each other in NYC, through older sister’s cancer and younger sister’s mess of a life. I found them kind of annoying, some tropes of successful but lonely and a fashion student who has terrible relationships. Some Korean American family dynamics. A big slow and then a good ending

The ending surprised me. Not sure I trust or believe it.
This didn’t live up to the hype for me but I still think I might read more of the author’s books in the future.
