The writing is quite immature. Also, it's like the author took a bunch of tropes that are popular and just stuck stuff together.  This girl has no redeeming qualities or anything to make her particularly interesting, yet so many men are instantly obsessed with her and it's all kind of thrown together. Did not care for it. I can't stand when people use "anyways," and this uses it way too much.

DID NOT FINISH: 49%

I got to 50% and couldn't do it anymore. I think the first red flag was when the author used the word "orbs" to describe someone's eyes in the first 10% of the book.

It's actually pretty impressive that someone could write a 400 page book that has **no** plot but also not a single character with a personality. Genuinely, how is that possible? This girl has the personality of a wet rag, and has not just one man, but multiple swooning over her after barely talking to her. As if having an FMC with no personality wasn't bad enough, none of the men did either. I know some of these were certain tropes but the way it was done just gave me the ick. What does a 32-year-old coach have in common with a 19-year-old girl? Nothing, with the exception of maybe both liking oral sex. None of the characters had zero chemistry with each other, which didn't help either.

As for the plot? As Mariah Carey once said, "I don't know her." Skyla is forced into to be engaged to a man that doesn't like her (he never gives a reason why by the way) and then she starts to collect boyfriends/friend's with benefits, despite being a virgin. I'm sure/hope there's a plot that forms eventually, but if I'm half way through the book and nothing is happening except some very lame and dull oral sex with some boring people, I'm out.

You gotta give me something. Either good character, good plot, or good smut. This has none of that.

I am SCREAMING! First off, I couldn’t put this down. I ate this book up! Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to punch a character in the face so hard until these guys showed up. The drama, the betrayal, the tension—this book had me on edge the entire time. Everything about this was amazing, and that ending? Absolute slap in the face. I’m so ready to jump into book 2.

Fairly standard RH, everyone loves her blah blah blah. Easy read and I've just had my heart torn out by Onyx Storm so keep your judgement.
