I FUCKED IT! I FUCKED IT SO MUCH!!! I've wanted Mister O the second I finished Big Rock. I'm so happy to finally have it
"YOUR PLEASURE IS HIS SUPERPOWER"
I definitely was left satisfied. Nick Hammer is all kinds of hot!!! His and Harper's chemistry is nothing short of perfection. This book was funny, it was sweet and it was hot. This is a book I can read over and over again no problem.

Better than I expected but I've read a book too similar to this.
dnf @ 75%
It's not that this book is bad...... but I had such high hopes after Big Rock. The two main characters seemed so great I was so excited to read this one and just... meh. I dnf because I literally just lost interest.
Maybe it's because I'm sick of the 'teach me to date/kiss/fuck' trope routine or maybe I'm tired of hearing peoples inner monologues about how they "can't" love their friend/love their (insert whatever relationship you want). Maybe also because I didn't think Harper was that 'cute' or sassy or funny. She was just awkward and irritating.
I feel a genuine shrug and meh at this book. Too bad.

Nobody narrates a cocky, alpha hero like Sebastian York. Lauren Blakely's hero, heroine, and storyline here are absolutely worthy of his talents. Must. Listen. To. More.
(Technically a standalone, but I seriously need to read the other books in this series ASAP, like Harper's and Nick's brothers' stories, etc. I love every. Single. Character. In. This. Book. And did I mention I need more? ;))
Rating: 4 1/2 stars / A

Bad habits are hard to break. I think this series, for me, has become a bad habit and it's definitely time I break it.
I just don't think I love a f/m romance that's told exclusively from the male perspective. I don't mind if it's told exclusively from the female perspective - easier to relate, I suppose. But a singular male perspective that, in the case of this book, consists primarily of Nick going on and on and on about his ability to pleasure women...it's a shock that I actually finished this book.
I couldn't root for the characters, much less care if they got their HEA. It seemed superficial and lacking substance which, given the length of this book, is rather surprising. Also...I know there are only so many tropes in romance. But one particular reason this book irritated me so much? The heroine asking her brother's best friend to tutor her in the art of sex and seduction has been done before...by the same author!
I hate quitting on a series midway or just bailing on an author altogether. But...I think that time has come. I've enjoyed a great many of her books. But, it's time to break this habit.

This book just didn’t work for me. I couldn’t connect with the characters and I found myself frequently bored while reading it.
I love love LOVE this book. It has all the right things for me.
CONNECTION
Two people who are honestly friends. Who talk to each other, who have personalities.
HUMOUR
Banter and wit. Jokes and funny moments. Not weighed down by personal tragedy, broken parts of themselves, angst ridden misunderstandings. No this is light-hearted fun.
DIRTY TALKING
I love it! Sexting and all those things. I loved how they were both equally vocal and into it. In so many novels if there is any dirty talk, it's hardly ever spoken by the heroine.
Wrap that up with great tension building, brilliant hot scenes and an HEA ending. I loved it even more than the first book. I'm completely overtaken by the need for a tattooed dirty cartoonist with great biceps. Sigh.
