I WANT TO CRY! Not only was this the perfect ending to the Windy City series but it was the perfect book in general. Childhood friends to lovers x second chance romance is one of my all time favourite combination of tropes so l had high hopes and high expectations, and yes Rewind it back exceeded every single one of them! It had teenage angst, a gentle MMC in Rio, a strong willed FMC in Hallie, the found family we all know and love, the heartbreak we hate to see coming and the healing we absolutely needed. My heart hurt for them on so many occasions but overall the book was balanced out perfectly with joyous, fun and intimate moments.
I am a big fan of a humble romance and Rewind It Back outdid all the rest in this category. The familiarity and comfortability between Rio and Hallie was SO SPECIAL. I love that they had this bond and connection that was unspoken, with everything being said through gestures, touches, glances, music and energy. Music is a language I SPEAK and relate so many songs to people, moments and books so I really loved that this was such a heavy focus. Liz Tomforde thank you so much for our Pisces angel and Leo king. They are so perfect together and I’ll be dreaming about them, and that shower scene forever.
I can’t help but be sad and happy that this series is finally complete. It was such a full circle feeling when Rio mentioned witnessing each of his friends grow individually and find love along the way. I will be revisiting this bunch every year for the rest of my life x
(Please don’t ask me to choose between this and Play Along. Thankkyewww.)

This was a cute read! Partially ng fault that I didn’t realize this was part of a series though it does fine reading as a stand-alone even though there are some Easter eggs/callbacks to the prior books I didn’t fully get. I love the idea of mixtapes and dual perspectives but I felt like this story could’ve been a little more succinct. The characters were enjoyable and I enjoyed the ending-it felt believable which I appreciated. I’ll check out Liz Tomforde’s other books, especially in this Windy City series!

I was looking forward to this book and then it magically got shipped early. It was so much better than I expected--and I had high expectations! Love love love! I'm usually not a big fan of flashback chapters, but it's done so well in this one.
Can't wait for the Monty book, or a new series that I feel like she hinted at in this book!

Ahh RIOOOO!! This was SO cute, my heart is melting...
Honestly, I almost skipped this because the Windy City series as a whole wasn’t really my jam (except for Kai MF Rhodes, don't even get me started on that man..), but I’m so glad I gave it a second chance ;) I absolutely adored Rio and Hallie and had so much fun with their story. It gave me all of the warm and fuzzy feels. It wrapped up the series better than I expected, especially considering I only loved 2 out of 5 books.
