ARC Review
Release Me is the highly anticipated first book in K.A. Tucker’s new Wolf Hotel: Mermaid Beach series—a spinoff from the original Wolf Hotel series. This installment centers around Ronan, a fan-favorite character we first met in the original series. The book is split into two parts: Book 1 explores Ronan’s life before the events of Wolf Hotel, while Book 2 picks up after.
As a long-time fan of the Wolf Hotel universe, I was thrilled to finally dive into Ronan’s story, and it absolutely delivered. It was fun, fast-paced, and kept me engaged the whole time. Seeing Ronan’s backstory added so much depth to his character, and I loved following his journey into the next chapter of his life. He’s still the charming, fun-loving guy we remember—but we get to see even more of what makes him tick.
Also worth mentioning: it’s spicy! K.A. Tucker doesn’t hold back on the heat, and it fits Ronan’s personality perfectly.
My only critique? The cliffhanger ending. I need the next book now! If you’re a fan of the Wolf Hotel series or just love a good blend of character-driven romance and steamy drama, you will enjoy this!

I’m so grateful I got to dive back into the Wolf Hotel world by K.A. Tucker. Before starting this new series, I suggest reading the original one first—it’ll give you better context and make the experience even more enjoyable.

This book really played with my emotions. I loved seeing Ronan with Ryan at the start, but then he took off to Alaska, and now he’s back—with Sloane. I thought the big twist would involve Ryan, but it seems her story is in the past. I was rooting for Ryan, but I also really love Sloane, and that cliffhanger left me wanting more!

I enjoyed Ronan’s character development. He started out with that classic playboy demeanor, but after returning from Alaska, he’s clearly trying to make some life changes.

I will say—Connor is not my favorite character. I found him overbearing and a bit too much at times.

Overall, I really loved the story and the spice. Now I just need the next book to see what happens!

Okay let's be clear Ronan and Connor or allot to take there both going threw women faster then a change of underwear I'm not sure why Connor feels the need to spread himself thin but in Ronan's defence his ex really turned him into a sleez sleeping his way threw Miami and Alaska and that's pretty much what went on in book one then there was Abbie and that's all I'm going to say and by the time you get to the second book he's straightened his life up not drinking and having tons of sex and when he dose brake the rules it's with the one person he's been warned away from the crazy Rooster Lady Sloan she's out for Blood against the very hotel chain he's been given a promotion by and things seem to be getting allot more crazy by the end of this book it ends on a cliffhanger I'm rooting for Sloan I'm just not sure about Ronan yet and the suprises keep coming.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Ronan is finally on his way to his HEA and it’s about time! He went through it in The Wolf Hotel series as we watched Abbi find her own HEA and Ronan suffered because he wanted her to be happy. Now we have Release Me, which is set up in two parts, before Abbi and after.  The before Abbi section was previously published as a novella ebook, but I loved the reread because K. A. Tucker definitely made some changes to it. Then we get to after where Ronan is really taking charge of his life and trying to make positive changes. In this section we also meet Sloane who is doing everything she can to protect her family’s legacy. These two may be on opposite sides but Ronan’s too good of a guy to let that stop him from doing the right thing. I am definitely excited to see how this series progresses and for Ronan to find his happiness.

Finally….Ronan.
You don’t have to read The Wolf Hotel Series first but if you like all the details about the characters, like me, then read it. We learn a lot about Ronan in that series, so naturally I think that makes this book better.

Without trying to give anything away, I think it’s safe to say that this book and series will lead us to Mermaid Beach. LOL. From Miami, to Alaska (Wolf Hotel Series), and now Mermaid Beach. The when, where, and how..you have to read about.

Love being back in the Wolf universe and catching up with so many people we loved reading about from the beginning. Like the first series, lots of fun, entertainment, humor, adult themes, and drama. Great read!

Oh man I love Ronan and I was so happy to have more of him again!!

This one includes the novella which is pre Alaska and then the second half is post Alaska! And it was so good! Ronan and Sloane have insane chemistry! I love how they meet and continue to run into each other! I also loved all the familiar characters!!! The ending, I completely called it haha, but I am here for it! It’s a bit of a cliff hanger and feels like this series will be a wild angsty ride! I’m so excited for more!

Release Me
by K.A. Tucker is the first book in the Wolf Hotel: Mermaid Beach series, a spin-off that takes the sensual intensity and high-stakes romance of the original Wolf Hotel saga and infuses it with a new setting and fresh emotional conflicts. Set in Mermaid Beach, Florida, the story follows Ronan Lyle, a man who claims expertise in heartbreak and hedonism—two traits that have dictated the direction of his life thus far. Ronan has spent years avoiding commitment, using fleeting connections and lustful distractions as his preferred coping mechanisms. He arrives in Mermaid Beach with the intention of leaving his self-destructive patterns behind, determined to focus on his role as the Director of Facilities for the new Wolf Hotel.

However, that resolve is challenged when he meets Sloane Parker, a woman who is not only stunning and spirited, but also actively working to sabotage the very hotel Ronan has been tasked with helping to launch. Sloane is far from a typical romantic lead; she’s determined, sharp-witted, and unwavering in her mission. Her presence threatens Ronan’s newfound focus, and despite all the reasons he shouldn’t pursue her—her opposition to the hotel, her ability to destabilise his career and future—Ronan finds himself drawn to her in a way that shakes the foundation of his self-control.

K.A. Tucker weaves a narrative that is rich in internal conflict and smouldering tension. The characters are flawed yet relatable, and their chemistry is electric. There’s a depth to the emotional turmoil both Ronan and Sloane carry, which adds layers to their intense attraction. The dialogue is crisp, and the pacing keeps the reader hooked as each chapter raises the emotional and erotic stakes.

What sets Release Me apart is its commitment to character development alongside steamy romance. This is not a story of mindless passion but one that explores how intimacy can either heal or break, depending on the choices people make. The backdrop of Mermaid Beach serves as both a glamorous escape and a moral battleground, heightening the sense of urgency and risk in every interaction.

Intended for a mature audience, Release Me doesn’t shy away from explicit scenes, yet these moments are never gratuitous—they serve to deepen the emotional resonance and character connection. It’s a well-balanced blend of eroticism and vulnerability, offering readers not just heat but heart.

For fans of forbidden love, emotionally driven narratives, and luxurious settings with a hint of controversy, Release Me is an irresistible entry point into a new chapter of the Wolf Hotel universe. Tucker once again proves her skill in crafting stories that are as emotionally compelling as they are sinfully seductive.

Ronan, Ronan, Ronan. 😍😍 Attractive, solemn, keeps secrets, and is *ahem* physically gifted. I am so happy Tucker came out of Wolf Hotel "retirement" to tell his story. 😂 And she matched him with Sloane the Spitfire? Perfection. I enjoyed the Pre-Abbi and Post-Abbi sequencing, and the scene on the boat? 🔥🔥🔥 This book is definitely worth your time and attention. 😏
