This was taking me a while to get through, then I finished the second half in one night. This wasn't quite good...but it had a little something.
Maren Moore is a new author to me and I am excited to explore her backlist after this. I don't normally read college romance so I was pleasantly surprised that I love this one. The Bad Boy Rule is an enemies to lovers, forced proximity, fake dating college romance between college hockey player Saint Deveraux and good girl high society socialite Lennon Rousseau. I thoroughly enjoyed this book so much. It deserves all the stars for Saint's FILTHY mouth alone. It was emotional and passionate and the tension between the two from the beginning till the end was oozing! The growth of both these characters and the way they developed feelings for each other were fun to watch. Once Saint fell in love with Lennon, he fell so hard. I thought there would be a third act breakup but while Lennon was admittedly hurt by what Saint did, I liked that she stuck by him and ultimately chose him. Pick this up if you are looking for a college romance with a lot of spice and heart.
the were fucking for a solid 4 chapters. what ever happened to groveling these days
4.5 Lennon is a good girl figure skater, who has to share her ice time with the playboy hockey player, Saint.
These two butt heads and dislike each other immediately. But Lennon is fed up with her dad controlling her life and wants to make him madโฆ So what better way than to fake date a tattoed bad boy?!
I loved their snarky banter and nicknames for each other. They both slowly started to reveal more to each other, and I loved seeing Lennon stand up for herself, and Saint showing his softer, vulnerable side.
This was such a fun read with some deeper emotional themes. I absolutely loved it and think the tough topics were handled so well.

A hockey playboy with a filthy mouth. A figure skater good girl tired of being her daddyโs puppet. Fake dating, secret hookups, and emotional trauma? Say less. Iโm in.
What I Loved:
๐ Lennon is way more than her preppy imageโsheโs fierce, bold, and finally says no to her parents.
๐ Saint is the classic bad boy who only has a soft spot for her. Heโs grumpy, tattooed, and heartbreakingly loyal.
๐ The banter? Chefโs kiss. Their fights turn into flirting real quick.
๐ Fake dating that leads to real feelingsโyes please.
๐ No third-act breakup, just character growth and a soft landing.
Favorite Scene:
Their first โshowโ kiss in front of her dad? ICONIC. But the bonus epilogue? Literal perfection.
Why Itโs 4 Stars:
I loved the vibes, the tension, and how both characters learned to choose themselves and each other. The pacing was a bit slow at the start, but once the fake dating kicked off, I was hooked.

โจ Oh my!! I really really love this book! It was so good and hot. I really enjoyed this one. Itโs crazy how I keep on falling in love with Marenโs MMC. How did she keep on writing the best book boyfriend each time she write a book? Saint, Iโm falling in love with you.
Saintโs life was hard. His father was drug addict and his mother got addicted to alcohol. One thing that he really loves was hockey. Lennon, the perfect princess that loves to skate. Her father took that away from her, but she secretly book an ice rink for a private skating time.
Their first met was eventful. It was fun and light to read. Overall, I really enjoyed this one. As always Maren Moore writing never missed! If you like bad boy/good girl trope then you should check out this book!
Thank you Maren Moore for the review copy!
