ARC Review
Saint is the bad boy. The playboy. The last person Lennon or her family would think she would date. She’s a good girl from a wealthy family. But she’s tired of always doing what she’s told. And he’s ready to help her
3.5 ✨
I love a secret softie, broken hero and a sassy FMC. The bad boy x good girl trope along with fake dating are some of my favorites. I enjoyed the development and background we got into Saint as a character. He’s been through a lot and you can see why he puts up the walls that he does. I liked learning about Lennnon’s past/family and how she decided to live her own life despite those expectations.
The banter was so good at the beginning and you could just feel all that tension building. Their relationship developed quickly physically, which isn’t a bad thing, but I wish there had been a bit more of a slow burn with their emotions I guess even after getting together in that way. It seemed to very quickly go from hate, to hooking up, to a relationship but I just didn’t connect with the build up. Once they decided to go all in though, I did love seeing them be vulnerable and support each other.
Overall an enjoyable read and I’m so excited for this new series! Glad to be back at Orleans U

TL;DR: The Bad Boy Rule is a great start to a new hockey romance series from Moore and I’m excited to see whose story comes next! This was a great hate-to-love romance featuring a good girl x bad boy combination that set my Kindle on fire. Once Saint and Lennon open up to each other and see beyond the personas they’ve perfected for the public, their connection was so good and their chemistry was intense! If you’re looking for personal growth and emotional vulnerability alongside many wickedly steamy moments, plus, no third act breakup then I think you’ll enjoy this romance!
That said, I would recommend checking out the author’s content warnings for the book as it does cover topics that may be triggering for some readers.
Lennon and Saint were enjoyable characters to read about and easy ones to root for. Although they come from complete opposite backgrounds, they have great chemistry and I enjoyed seeing them go from being unable to stand each other to slowly chipping through their barriers the more time they spend together. Lennon’s parents were infuriating and her father was the worst kind of man I’ve had to read about lately, although her mother was no better. She deserved so much better than these parents and it was so great to see her take a stand and not just lie back and continue to take their poor treatment of her. I loved that even though she’s painted as the “virginal good girl” she also had no issues being vocal, standing up for herself, and asking for what she wants (both in and out of the bedroom, lol).
That said, I think Saint was my favourite of the two. His story was pretty heartbreaking (even more so knowing the corporate aspect of it is a reality that many families have faced and continue to face). He’s got a reputation as the aggressive bad boy but behind those walls he has built to protect himself, he has a heart of gold, and he would do anything to protect the person he loves most in this world: his mum. The vulnerability shown through his character, especially during that storm scene, tore me up good. 🥺 I loved seeing the softer side of him, not just with Lennon, but with everyone who meant something to him and who he cared deeply about. He’s a true good egg!
Honestly, I can already foresee that Saint will be a favourite for many romance readers, especially those who love a bad boy with a good heart and a very filthy mouth. 🤭 We know for sure that Lennon was 100% there for the dirty talk and yes, their steamy scenes set my Kindle aflame! Once all the lines are crossed, there are several back-to-back steamy scenes, but it meshes well with the rest of the story and their relationship arc. Their chemistry was undoubtedly fire hot and I loved seeing them together!
Overall, this was a fun new romance from Moore and as someone who has read almost all of her books now, I find she never disappoints and always serves exactly what you’re looking for when you pick up one of her books: a good, fun, and very sexy time!

This book was everything I thought it was going to be and more!
I loved the story between Saint and Lennon. From how they first meet to seeing them overcome their struggles and evidently fall in love.
But I loved seeing how Saint let Lennon in, when he never lets anyone in, let alone girls. I loved seeing the bad boy fall to his knees for the right girl.
The banter between these guys was so fun to read as well! This was such a fun book to read but also the way the serious and tough topics were written was done so well.

Delicious exploration of two opposites who come together and form a relationship of convenience but eventually find out that they actually found the one other person who can understand them the most.
Saint is anything but a saint. He’s you typical hockey playing bad boy who gives zero f*cks and sleeps around like a sex god. He’s arrogant, mean and has no filters. He’s my favorite type of MMC!
Lennon is a good girl who is finally getting away from her controlling parents and all the “expectations” from them in their high society circle. She is doing things on her own terms and figuring out how to say no.
They meet at the ice rink when there was a mix up with the ice times. He is doing extra practice to ensure he is drafted and she wants to get back into figure skating after her father made her quit. They each booked the ice time and are now forced to share it, begrudgingly.
Lennon realizes that she can use him to help get her parents off her back and to stop her father from forcing her ex on her at society events and Saint wants to use her for a little revenge plot of his own. The fake dating quickly turns physical and as all the bantering turns into flirting, these two open up to each other and soon realize that they have more in common than they think.
The banter was great, the chemistry was great, and the spice was extra spicy! I liked the back stories for each character. It made them real and showed them why they are the way they are and also why they needed each other. It was nice to see them soften towards each other and open up and be vulnerable. No miscommunication troupe here which was so refreshing! This was a steamy cuppa! ☕
