There’s a quote in this book that pretty much describes how I feel about the whole thing- “That should not be as hot as it is. It shouldn’t, but it totally is.” This book was a lot of fun, despite some of the heavier stuff going on. It gave what I needed it to, once I got through the slow ish beginning. But there is a LOT going on for a relatively short book. It starts out with a tale as old as time, figure skater girl ends up having to share the ice with hockey player boy. He’s cocky and rude, and she immediately despises him. I thought her reaction to him was a little extreme, but I guess with her being as prim and proper as she was, she was probably completely put off by him. The first 10 chapters or so were slow to me. It’s just them back and worth at the rink. They aren’t even fake dating at this point. I was just kind of waiting for something to happen. Also let me just say the Golden Girl nickname? Did not do it for me. Was not a fan. If you’re someone who likes a lot of hockey in your hockey romances, you won’t find it here. Saint has so much going on outside of school, I have no idea how he even has time for hockey. And normally you get a ton of found family in sports romances, we didn’t get much of that here. We meet a few of their friends a handful of times, but not enough to really learn anything about them. Basically there is very little classic hockey romance actually in this book. This book finally picked up for me once they started being friendlier and he realized she had a little thing for him. Maren is always good for some steam and she delivers here. There’s just something about the bad boy / innocent girl trope and despite the beginning, it’s goooood here. Especially when you originally think Saint is a terrible guy, but realize he does in fact have a conscience and he does care for Lennon. I had no idea how this book was going to end, but it was absolute chaos. Way more drama than I was expecting to ever happen. Overall, my review is a little confusing because my thoughts on the book are confusing. This book had so much and so little going on, but for whatever reason, I had a great time reading it LOL. I pretty much enjoyed this book for the vibes. Thanks so much to Valentine PR and the author for the ARC!
Can’t go wrong with a bad boy x good girl pairing. Though I wish it spent a little bit more time on them bonding than constantly objectifying each other but that’s okay too

♡Lennon & Saint♡
Good girl meets bad boy in this steamy hockey romance🔥🔥 Saint is your typical bad boy hockey player, and Lennon is an innocent, rich girl, who always plays by the rules. They both use the ice as the escape but Lennon's father is ruthless and took ice skating away from her. Lennon decides to be sneaky and books a private session on the ice to ease back into it. To her disappointment the rink is double booked and now she's stuck sharing it with Saint. Just when she thinks she can't be anymore upset, something changes when they lock eyes. Then the ice really heats up🔥😉
Ohhhh I loved these characters so much! I could just eat Saint up😍🙌 omg is he amazing!!! Lennon was the sweetest and I adored her so much! I love how they both have the ice in common, it's so cute! Also this author has a way with steamy parts 😉🥵🔥 Overall I loved this book so, so much!

What a great start to a new series it was so much and fantastically written. Saint Deveraux is a college hockey player with NHL dreams. Lennon is a rich girl who has been sheltered and controlled by her parents, she is tired of it and ready to live her life. She is sassy and becoming her own person, which was great to see. The characters were well written, and ones that you cannot help but love. I was hooked from the beginning of the book and could not put it down. If this is how the series starts, I cannot wait to see what the rest of the series is going to be. I highly recommend it.
