Great character development in this story. I feel like I always end up loving how Maren Moore writes her main characters! Loved the whole story line and the witty banter.

I absolutely love this book so much. Like 10 out of 10 would read it all over again. I think if you’re looking for a fun book, to just be a palette cleanser, then this is a good book for you. There are some heavy topics, but they are very much done well. But overall, this book was super enjoyable and I plan on reading it again soon.
I think one of the best tropes, is fake dating. And this Book did it so well that for a while I forgot that there was a fake dating aspect to it. Their chemistry was so dynamic, that it made the fake dating even more fun. Saint and Lennon are just a joy to read about. The banter in this book was literally the best thing ever. The back-and-forth, the cat and mouse, And just the overall chemistry was superb.
Saint is my heart. I love a bad boy who has reasons behind when he’s a bad boy. And I felt like Saint truly is an embodiment of someone who deserved love in life, but wasn’t receiving it in the way that he should. It made his character Arc amazing because you realize that he just wanted to find love in life. And he found that with Lennon. As he was starting to fall for her, it just made the whole story, beautiful.
Lennon is my sweet girl and I will forever fight for her. I loved the person that she was, I love that she wanted to go against her family, and I love that she wanted to find herself in this process. Saint did an amazing job helping her figure that out, but truthfully she did a lot of The work herself.
The spice PERFECTION!
My favorite scene is the night of the storm. Was I crying so hard? Yes, I was. Would I read that scene over and over again just to relive it? Yes ABSOLUTELY. There are a couple of scenes that are my favorite, to be honest. Especially when is hanging out with Decker. My heart stopped. I love that. We got to see these characters grow together. And watch them work through their problems with each other. Even if it meant, there was some back-and-forth with the banter, ultimately, you could see them starting to choose each other.
Maren, I can’t wait to read more of your stories. I am definitely locked in as a fan. Thank you so much for allowing me to read this book, and thank you PR for allowing me to receive this book.

OMG you have to read this one. It starts with this total ice king bad boy—Saint, of course that’s his name—who’s basically the reason the “no dating jerks” rule exists. And then there’s Lennon, literal social club princess with a purity pact and a serious don’t-mess-with-me vibe. They’re forced to share rink time (because of course they are), and it is ON from there.
They hate each other. Like, actual snarling across the ice levels of hate. But the tension? Ridiculous. And then they start fake dating (for reasons that totally make sense in the moment but spiral real fast), and suddenly he’s soft for her and only her, and she’s realizing the campus player might actually be the only person who seesher.
I tore through it in a day. The banter is so sharp, the chemistry is off the charts, and when Saint finally cracks? DEAD. He’s still an ahole, but now he’s her ahole and I couldn’t get enough. Also—some heavy stuff gets tackled too, and it’s done reallywell without dragging the vibe down.
First in a new hockey series and I’m already obsessed. We’re getting more Hellcats, and I’m 1000% ready.
Thank you @authormarenmoore and @valentine_pr_ for the #gifted ebook ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

“I needed you to know that someone would fight for you.”
Maren Moore is back with her college hockey romance! This one had “enemies” to lovers, spicy lessons, hockey & figure skating, and some deep trauma that our babes had to wade through. If you are looking for no-third act breakup books add this to your list!
It is now available to read everywhere, including KU.
Thank you Maren Moore for an advance digital copy.

I adored The Bad Boy Rule—it had everything I love in a hockey romance! Saint is the perfect mix of broody and secretly soft, and Lennon is the rich girl finally breaking free from her parents’ control, and I was so here for her glow-up. The fake dating trope? Absolutely nailed. You know someone’s catching real feelings and it gets me every single time. Their chemistry was off the charts, the tension was delicious, and watching Lennon take control of her life while Saint slowly unraveled had me grinning the whole way through. Total win for me!
