Thank you to Valentine PR & Maren Moore for sending me an advanced copy of The Bad Boy Rule.
I am a HUGE Maren Moore fangirl and was absolutely obsessed with the Orleans University series, so I’ve been anxiously waiting for this book and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The Hellcat Hockey series kicks off with The Bad Boy Rule, and we’re thrown right back into the world of OU, this time with the school’s hockey team and the fiery pairing of Saint and Lennon.
Saint is your classic bad boy… but with a twist. He’s from the wrong side of the tracks, but he doesn’t drink, doesn’t party, and is laser focused on working hard in both school and life. He’s the one holding his family together and is determined not to end up like his abusive, alcoholic father. Then there’s Lennon, our rich girl with hidden side. Her parents care more about appearances than her actual dreams, and as their only child, she’s feeling major pressure to be the perfect daughter… even if it means hiding her true self.
When Lennon and Saint meet, it’s all sparks and fire. They cannot stand each other… at first. But then Saint finds out who Lennon’s dad is, the very man he blames for how his life turned out, and decides to get revenge by making Lennon fall for him. What he doesn’t expect? Lennon wants her dad to think they’re dating too. So begins the fake dating, the delicious tension, and all the swoony moments as they slowly realize they aren’t who they thought the other was… they might actually be perfect for each other. But can they make it work, or are they just too different?
You guys… I LOVED this. I think this might be Maren’s most intense book yet, but it still has that fun, college sports romance feel I adore. The angst?? Chef’s kiss. The chemistry?? Off the charts. And Lennon’s “rules” with Saint?? Let’s just say they don’t last very long.
If you’re in the mood for a sports romance with heat, heart, and the perfect balance between light and dark, The Bad Boy Rule is it. I’m already obsessed with this series and can’t wait for more Hellcat boys!
Okay! The way I devoured this! The Bad Boy Rule was soo addicting from the start. I absolutely loved Saint and Lennon, their banter was EVERYTHING. I was kicking and screaming every time they even spoke to each other. Saint might be one of my favorite MMC’s from Maren. I am just a sucker for the bad boy 😉
He is broody, and he can do nothing wrong in my eyes. Plus, He has a filthy mouth! Lennon was this perfect little daddy’s girl that followed the rules but now she is over that. She wanted to do better and follow her own steps in life. So here comes Saint changing everything for her.
I love how we are back at OU but now we’re with the hockey players. I am so excited about this series, and I can’t wait to see what Maren has in store for us. This was such a great start and I am so here for Maren being back in her Hockey Era

GAH! I really loved this one! Maren Moore gave us one heck of a romance story here.
The banter between the MC's was so yummy. I laughed and squealed.
Saint is a college hockey player. He is broken, damaged, wounded and has a YUMMY dirty mouth.
Lennon is a figure skating good girl. She does everything she can to be "perfect"
Saint and Lennon fake dating helps Lennon break away from always being perfect. She is dating Saint on purpose to prove a point to her father but it quickly develops into so much more.
The spice and storyline blend well. Not too much or too little spice. Just right.
I highly recommend this book!

Ahhhh I really loved Saint and Lennon. These two were all sorta of perfect for each other, but far from perfect as humans.
This book read differently from Maren’s other books but I still just loved it so much, the characters, the spice, the character growth, was all written so well and it was so hard for me to put down!
Although this was a hockey romance, it focused more on their relationship and growth as people than it did hockey.
