The main word that comes to mind when describing this book…phenomenal! So well written, I’m speechless!

The Bad Boy Rule is an opposite attract, enemies to lovers, good girl/bad boy, sports romance that is worth so much more than five stars, I give it 100! Maren Moore wrote this beautifully and just gives all the feels. I love the spice, the storytelling, the characters. Just such a great read in my opinion. Lennon is so much more than I thought she would be and I loved it. I love her determination and the attitude. Saint is such a delicious bad boy that Maren Moore just raised the bar for book boyfriends. The chemistry was immediate sparking  between Saint and Lennon. I ate this book up and did not want to put it down. Wonderful job to Maren Moore!

I highly recommend this book! It was my most anticipated read for the year and it DID NOT disappoint! This is a top read of the year for me!

I really enjoyed this! I don't tend to read a lot of college romance anymore (I'm too old, man) but I couldn't resist this one by Maren Moore! This one is personal to her and you can tell that she left pieces of herself int he words of this book!

Admittedly, I did feel like this one started a little slow for me. I wasn't entirely convinced on the characters BUT the minute that they agreed to fake date, it was all over. I was immediately HOOKED and couldn't wait to see Saint dirty up Lennon. What I loved the most though, was that Lennon was not the typical "high society, good girl". Like she was SO OVER that scene and being treated like a pawn for her shitty father's needs.

I loved the banter between these two. Their fighting and bickering made for some funny moments between them. The relatonship between Lennon and Saint progressed so nicely, spending time together and their secret hookups.. lordy. The mouth on that man.. he ain't no Saint.. he's an absolutle sinner! He was protective and so obsessed with Lennon the more he got to know her and the way Lennon truly cared for him, despite his troubles and trauma. I just wanted to squeeze them both!

This was more than your average college romance. Yes, it was sweet and spicy and funny but it also dealt with some pretty heavy issues that weren't shied away from. I would have loved some deeper emotion between the characters, but they are only 20 so maybe they're just not there yet.

“Mmmm. She’s feisty today,” he chides. “Careful, Golden Girl. You know how much I love when you get an attitude.” 😏🤭

EEEE! My very first Maren Moore story and yall, why did no one tell me I’ve been sleeping on her work for so long?! Oh my wooord, the spice in this one was DIVINE 🥵 And even better? An explosive, undeniable connection between complete and total opposites paired with the emotional, very real depiction of the darker side of parental relationships? Best believe I ate it UP! 🍽️

Though obvious opposites on paper, the parallels Lennon and Saint discover together as their fake dating ploy grows into something uncharted and more had me utterly gripped. I haven’t rooted for a couple like this, primed and ready to throw bows at anyone who tried to come between them, in a long time. Their journeys to discovering and accepting the love they deserve was so beautiful and pure. Oh, my heart is overflowing 😭

The Bad Boy Rule is an addictive, positively heart-wrenching must-read. With swift, short chapters, tons of yummy spicy scenes, and that satisfying character growth that hits just right, I am sure this gem will make all the good-girl-bad-boy-obsessed so very pleased. Happy reading besties!

Saint oh sweet Saint.   With his IFGAF attitude until he meets her.  Golden girl Lennon daughter to the man who ruined his family.  Saint does not have time to give a $hit about anyone but himself and his mom.  But somehow Lennon sneaks past his radar.  And suddenly she matters the most; more than anything.  But revenge is a tricky slope of lies and will Lennon forgive him for his hidden truth?

This book!!  Amazing awesome all the feels 😮‍💨🫠❤️‍🔥🥹, so good!  The banter, the only soft for her!  Do yourself a favor drop everything and read this!

“The one and only rule: don’t fall for the bad boy.”

OHHHHH once this arc dropped, I admittedly started reading it.
You guys are going to love Saint or as Lennon likes to call him…Satan.

This bad boy has the heart of gold. He has his walls caged and built up with no access. Saint and Lennon were exact opposites and not only that but they didn’t know that they needed each other.

The push and pull, the banter, it was EVERYTHING!

Definitely recommend!

I’ve read a couple of Maren Moore’s books and each one had been great and full of amazing stories. This one though is probably my new all time, number one favorite! I love sports romance/ hockey romances, and with the way Maren wrote Lennon and Saint’s story it was absolutely perfect! An enemies to lovers story with a hockey player and a figure skater, but also add in he’s the bad boy on campus, and she’s the golden girl, this is chef’s kiss! As if this book wasn’t already great, the emotional angst, deep, and tug on your heartstrings moment, Maren made me an emotional wreck while reading. Without a doubt, I loved this book, and I cannot recommend it enough!

Lennon and Saint definitely DID NOT like each other at the start of this book. When it came to Lennon and Saint’s different personalities and ironically having to share the ice rink for their private skating time, those two pushed each other’s buttons, and it was always snarky back and forth between them. There was still tension underlying in each scene between Lennon and Saint that was perfectly brewing the whole time. I genuinely think that the way this enemies to lovers story was written was done seamlessly because, it gave us enough time to see Lennon and Saint at odds with one another, but also gradually showed them lowering their walls when it came to them falling for each other.

I’d be lying if I said I was initially unsure about Saint with the way his whole bad boy persona was. In the beginning, Saint didn’t care what anyone thought of him, and did whatever he pleased. Even when that meant leaving a trail of broken hearted girls after hooking up and not caring about anything other than hockey, school, and work, Saint was a bit of an…a-hole. In all fairness though, there was a reason why Saint was the way that he was. Behind closed doors, Saint was trying to keep his mom safe, and trying to juggle responsibilities on top of the ones he was already trying to manage. The more I read, the more I got to see just how much Saint tried to keep a handle on things that many people didn’t know about. As much as Saint was a bad boy, at his core he was a genuinely caring person who gave his everything to ensure the safety and stability for his loved one(s).

I don’t think I have any complaints about this book, it was all written and executed perfectly to illustrate Lennon and Saint’s story together. You got the bad boy and the good girl going from enemies to lovers in such a natural way that the development in their romance was great. This has become my new favorite Maren Moore book and I loved Lennon and Saint! Saint was a tough and closed off type of guy, but seeing him vulnerable and raw in front of Lennon was not only heartbreaking, but made me want to hug him and protect him. Even the toughest people need a hug and comfort just like Lennon did for Saint. Lennon also found herself reclaiming her life as she saw fit and not following in the steps that her parents had planned for her. Lennon and Saint came from different backgrounds, but they understood each other so deeply and intimately that they made the perfect couple/ team. This book is an automatic recommendation to read! I really enjoyed it!

This is my first Maren Moore book in a minute and it reminds me how much I need to go back and read her other series because I love her writing so much! When a new series was announced and I knew it was the best time to jump back in, and I wasn’t wrong! Lennon and Saint have such great chemistry this book got me physically feeling it and I was shocked! It starts out with a miscommunication by the ice arena leading them to share what they both thought was individual skating time, and it just cascades from there! They go at each other and match each other insult by insult and it was so fun, but eventually they also realize they can use each other.

Lennon uses Saint to make her parents mad because he is the worst possible person for her to date according to them, and Saint uses her to get back at her dad by taking his precious daughter’s innocence. However, while spending all that time together they finally realize how much they enjoy each other’s company and how similar they are, even with the differences in their backgrounds. Saint finally feels safe and grounded with a person after having the most combustible childhood and Lennon finds someone who loves her for who she is and not who they want her to be. It’s such a beautiful love story. It’s also steamy and spicy to a fun degree, these two and their chemistry as Lennon traces a line of sweat on Saint is literally so hot, I don’t even know how to put it into words.

I also loved how it all played out with Saint’s plan, it was a new one for me to see how it was handled and I loved that it kept it on my toes! I can’t wait to continue this series and it series does remind me to go back and read the rest of Maren Moore and if you haven’t read her yet, go check out this book!

I don't know what Maren put in this book but I was unable to stop once I started!! I devoured this in less than 24 hours!! This book had it all!!!

Lennon was absolutely ADORABLE!!! She has been put in a box her whole life. She was told how to act, how to dress, and who to be friends with, but now she is ready to shine and find herself. And did she ever!!! Her character growth was amazing and LOVED when her sass came out! Now Saint. SAINT!! I have no words. He has been through so much and had to grow up fast. He was someone that kept to himself and never let anyone too close. Lennon pushed through all that and the trust and love he had for her was so heartwarming. These two had the best banter and all that bickering made for the most intense chemistry!! The spice!! So freaking delicious!! And the mouth on Saint??! WOW!!! From start to finish I was hooked!! LOVED IT!

Thank you Maren and Valentine PR for this ARC!

I loved everything about this book. Everything. It's about bad boy/poor boy, Saint Devereaux and good girl/rich girl Lennon Rousseau. He's the college bad boy and doesn't do relationships.
"I don't do sleepovers. I don't kiss, I don't cuddle." He's the one you don't take home to your parents. He doesn't care what anyone thinks about him and all he cares about is his mother and protecting her from his abusive, alcoholic father.

When he meets Lennon, he thinks she was just a spoiled, rich girl. When she brings up the idea of fake dating so she can shock her parents, he agrees as he has his own agenda with her father. But the more time they spend together the more their relationship starts to feel real and the more he wants to protect her.

Saint's home life was not good. He has had to endure a lot because of his father. It was so heartbreaking to read his thoughts and hear what he went through. It definitely made me understand him more. I loved that Lennon was there for him.

Welcome to Orleans U, where the Hellcats are hot, the tension sizzles, and the bad boys have big hearts. 🏒🔥 The Bad Boy Rule is the perfect kickoff to Maren Moore’s hockey series—a story full of swoon, slow burn, and unexpected emotional depth.

Saint is the classic bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks, but underneath the tattoos and swagger is a guy who shows up—especially for the people he cares about. And our golden girl heroine? She might come from money, but her life isn’t as perfect as it seems. I loved watching her guard come down, especially with someone who sees the real her. 💛🖤

One of the things that hit me most was their shared struggle with emotionally unavailable fathers. That connection made their romance so much more layered than just enemies-to-lovers or opposites attract.

💬 And can I just say—I wish we got more about her skating background! It felt like such a key piece of who she is, and I would’ve loved to see that part of her shine more on the page. ⛸️

Still, this was a solid series starter with just the right mix of heat, heart, and hurt/comfort vibes. Can’t wait to see who steps onto the ice next.
