I just loved this book sooo much! The characters are amazing, their story and the chemistry is amazing.
Lennon is the daughter of a wealthy man and everyone thinks they’ve already know her. Obviously they are wrong about her, because she’s definitely not the daddy’s girl everyone thinks she is. I love her sassy charm and how she puts Saint in his place (or at least she tries).
As for Saint, let’s just say he’s perfect. I can’t add more to that. I loved seeing him in this book and how much he grew into the person that Lennon inspired him to be.

“You’re the only thing in my life that feels right anymore.”

I devoured this book and I think it’s one of the greatest stories from Maren. ❤️

Enemies to lovers between a figure skater good girl and hockey play boy, I'm here for it.  Especially when the MMC is broken but puts on a mask until the FMC breaks through it.
Lennon has always done what her parents wanted, until she realized how toxic it was.  Saint is the bad boy hockey player but has a terrible home life.  When they cross paths while sharing the ice, sparks fly but they push each other's buttons.  Lennon decides they can fake date to make her parents upset. Saint and Lennon grow closer and fall more in love.  What will happen when family secrets come to light?

Where has Maren Moore been all my life and why have I not read one of her books until now? I just finished my first Maren Moore book and I'm blown away. I loved every single thing about it! From the fantastic writing to the storyline and the well developed characters, this book has everything a romance reader could want (and the spice was top tier!). Saint and Lennon were great characters and getting a look into their family backgrounds and seeing how those experiences shaped them was written so well. I related to Saint's background so much, and even though I wanted to not like him at first, I ended up with a massive soft spot for him and fell head over heels for him!

The way Saint and Lennon's relationship started and how it developed throughout the book was so beautifully done. Saints character development was especially beautiful and heartwarming. I was completely invested in their individual journeys, and then even more so in their story as a couple. And the chemistry was.... whew! It was strong from their first interaction and just got stronger with every page.

This is definitely one of those books that makes you wish you could wipe your memory just to experience reading it for the first time again. I don't want to spoil anything, but I wholeheartedly recommend this one. I loved it so much! I'm excited to read more from Maren Moore and can't wait for the next book in this series!

Thank you so much to Valentine PR for an ARC of this book. I voluntarily read it and gave an honest review.

This was my first book by Maren Moore, and it absolutely did not disappoint! If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for a good hockey romance, but this story was so much more. I expected a light, spicy read, but instead I got a heartfelt story about grief, healing, and second chances. The characters felt incredibly real, and their pain and growth were written so beautifully.

Saint is the ultimate bad boy on the surface, but there’s so much depth beneath that tough exterior, especially when it comes to Lennon. And Lennon? I adored her. She wasn’t intimidated by Saint, and her strength, independence, and personal growth made her such a good FMC. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

The Bad Boy Rule
Hellcats Hockey Book 1
Written by Maren Moore

This book is going to be an emotional rollercoaster ride and I'm here for it. We have two struggling souls who hate each other, but are forced to share ice time. Forced Proximity, enemies to lovers, the good girl and the bad boy, what more can you ask for?

The first kiss between them is fire! Even though they may hate each other there is some very strong chemistry between them. I love the playful banter between them and how they are slowly building a strong relationship and a safe space for them both. The effect she has on him is everything. The bad boy can't help himself when it comes to this good girl and vice versa 😉.

Wow Wow Wow. Maren did it again!
Lennon and Saint have some of the best loathe to love banter and their enemies to lovers was done so well, didn’t feel forced, and created great tension. Lennon is strong and determined while Saint is the broken bad boy who just wants to take care of his mom. Reading the struggles and trauma these two work through really had me on my toes. And the fake dating!! Saint understood his ‘bad boy persona’ assignment and when you see what this man has to say.. jaw dropping. I absolutely adored how Saint opens up to Lennon and his protectiveness over her. Also, the side characters are amazing and hilarious.

I loved The Bad Boy Rule. It was so much more than I expected. I thought it would be a lighthearted hockey romance. While it did have those elements it also dealt with heavy natured topics. I loved the way author balanced the light and heavy moments. The Bad Boy Rule was banter filled, fun, flirty and steamy with a heavy dose of hate pheromones. I loved the push and pull between Lennon and Saint. I truly enjoyed the relationship dynamics between them and how their relationship developed. This book was beyond awesome. I can't recommend it enough.  It was my first book by this author and I so can't wait to devour more of her books.

This one does not disappoint! Lennon is the daughter of wealthy social climbing parents and she is set to please them. But when her father insists she takes back her cheating boyfriend that he hand selected for her, she decides she wants to make a change. She meets the bad boy and decides to work together to get back at her parents. But she does not know that Saint has a revenge plan also.

Saint has taken on an adult role from a young age. His father is abusive and an addict but his mother will not leave or stand up for either of them. Saint stays to protect his mother but he still holds a lot on his shoulders. Lennon is the daughter of the man that set his own father on a downward spiral, he is ready for revenge.

Lennon and Saint both grew so much! Lennon started to find herself and focus on what truly makes her happy without worrying about the backlash from others. She asserted her independence from her parents and chose the truth over lies. Sanint is complex because of his trauma. Saint had so many walls up and even though he wanted revenge he got more than he was expecting. Soon he did not want revenge anymore and he just wanted Lennon. You could see Lennon slowly helping Saint break his walls down and realizing he can love and be loved. He has a mouth on him and shows Lennon how she should be loved. They both found someone who saw them for who they are and not what others want to see them as.

✨ARC Review✨

5⭐ for The Bad Boy Rule by Maren Moore

So the one rule about bad boys is this: don't fall for him, and like Lennon, I did NOT follow this rule because I fell so hard for Saint I bruised my a*s on the way down.

The bad boy/good girl combo is a classic for a reason, and it was executed so well here, I was obsessed with these two right from the beginning.

Lennon is the quintessential good girl; listens to her parents, gets good grades, never gets into trouble, but she does have a slight rebellious streak to her and Saint was the match she needed to set it on fire.

Saint is tattooed, has a motorcycle, lives on the 'wrong side of the tracks' if you'll excuse my cliché, but he's also smart, hardworking, kind and has lived through so much I just wanted to hug him and make it all better. I was holding back tears, trying NOT to bawl my eyes out while reading about his trauma IN THE BREAK ROOM AT WORK, THANK YOU MAREN.

I should add, right before my almost-meltdown, we get hit with the double whammy of the hurt x comfort trope (my favorite!!) AND a "I didn't know where else to go" moment. *Melts into a puddle while screaming unintelligibly*

The chemistry, the banter, the slow burn...it all worked together to keep me turning pages while squealing and giggling, and the aforementioned crying. And because it's Maren, you know the spice is ~spicy~ and plentiful once that slow burn heats up, with the "teach me" trope thrown in too. *Fans self*

Add this to your tbr ASAP, you won't regret it!

Thank you so much to Maren Moore for a copy in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.
