The ending was a disappointment. The whole lucifer thing was anti climatic and unsatisfying. The ending felt rushed. I enjoyed the series but the ending was disappointing.
If it wasn’t for the delicious vampires and the dragons, I’m pretty sure I would’ve hated this series purely bc of the FMC, sorry not sorry. I hate that the ending felt so rushed and wrapped up, left me wanting so much more
Book 3 picks right up where Book 2 left off, so you’re immediately sucked back into the action. This book definitely has a higher plot-to-spice ratio, which I personally appreciate. (Still a fair amount of spice, though, if that matters to you.)
Like Promised in Blood, Bound in Blood’s plot is roughly split into two parts. The first part—roughly 40% involves Ophelia, Axl, Xavier, and Malachi. In the second part, we learn more about Ophelia and Lucian’s role in the prophecy along with more twists, turns, and some backstory. Some people may find the reveals predictable, but I didn’t, because I’m really bad at guessing. I found the plot and action to be very fast-paced, and I think I read this book faster than any of the others.
The only aspect of the book I didn’t like was in the epilogue, which I’ll include under a spoiler tag.
With that one exception, I did enjoy the book overall, and I think it’s the best of the trilogy! Sadie is coming out with a new fantasy romance novel in early 2026 called [b:A Curse of Blood and Fate|228654040|A Curse of Blood and Fate|Sadie Kincaid|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1740993714l/228654040._SY75_.jpg|239314054]. I’m not sure if it’s set in the same universe as the Broken Bloodlines trilogy, but I’m excited to read it!

Spoiler
In the epilogue, Ophelia is preparing to graduate college, and she is already pregnant with Alexandros’s baby. Given that she is the only living elementai, and therefore the only being capable of bearing a vampire’s children, I expected pregnancy would come into play eventually. But did it have to happen so soon? She’s 22; couldn’t she have graduated and had a career for a while first? Since all of them are essentially immortal, what’s the rush? With that one exception, I did enjoy the book overall, and I think it’s the best of the trilogy! Sorry these books were ROUGH. They were so hard to get through. We didn’t know anything as readers, there was no build up or back story to half the things that were being revealed! So there would be moments where it was supposed to feel really important… but there was literally no prior info to make the reader understand the gravity of different situations. It was frustrating to read and I was honestly beyond excited to finish it. I almost DNFd it but decided to persevere.

Probably my least favorite of the series even though it had the most action…in both the spicy and mild form of the word. It felt like it dragged on and was hard to follow.
